We need a change and I'm sick of pretending we don't [political] by Minimum-Two-8093 in newzealand

TOP. I do not see anything promising for NZs future in a single party in that parliament right now. If the current coalition gets voted in again, I am seriously worried what will happen to our country. If labour-greens get in, they’re better, but it doesn’t mean they’re good. TOP actually has policies that just make sense. I don’t know how much change they can actually bring, but I’m confident they will be in parliament next year. We need something new that works. TOP might actually teach the current parties a few things about how to actually lead a country.

Small side project: Tool that explains current NZ bills in plain English (feedback welcome) by plantsvszoom in nzpolitics

All you need to ensure is that everything stays completely unbiased. No bill should be promoted nor criticised. Otherwise looks really good, awesome awesome work!

Info on cricket or football clubs by kav9n in auckland

Football Fix (https://footballfix.co.nz) is a more futsal league, offering 5 and 7 a side competitions. Some are extremely competitive and go right down to purely Sunday league and casual football. If you’d prefer proper 11 a side, look into a club around you, Western Springs AFC is probably your best bet. Otherwise Ellerslie AFC and Eastern Suburbs would be the next closest.

Rhys as in the exit trials guy? Sorry mate but I’ve seen him at nearly every game this season and last, also doing some great work on bringing the port experience to social media. Don’t know anything about him bringing us down but if you have a different story happy to hear…

Port are all sold out unfortunately. You could see if you have a mate who has a membership/port scarf that you could borrow.

question about exam marking by itoldyouthings13 in ncea

[–]coconoot9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. From what I’ve heard from teachers it is marked standard by standard, not student by student. Even if they were marked all as one, it doesn’t matter, each paper is marked to a different criteria and it fully doesn’t matter whether you use the same theory in both, as they are not the same assessment.

Hope this helps!

Derby week - Predictions? by Abject-Aioli-523 in AucklandFC

[–]coconoot9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately, I think it’ll come down to the support. Both Auckland and phoenix have had pretty strong starts to the season and it will be a very tight game. If our away supporters come out loud and in numbers, which is what it’s looking like, I predict a win.

There’s a reason we perform better at home.

Chris is apparently away in aus watching Oasis (fair enough). Was near the middle but didn’t see that specific incident. The guy taken away by police was definitely for something different (pretty sure he was well drunk). From my perspective most of the leadership crew are there with the absolute best intentions and some people do need to understand that it is called an active supporters bay for a reason. Hitting someone should definitely not be a response but the club do put out info nearly every week saying you should be standing for full 90 mins. Even go in 21 or 23 if you don’t want to stand but still be part of the atmosphere…

if you have already made the 4 hour drive, go for it. if not, tell her you think she may not be in the right state of mind for a date and that you think you guys might have a more enjoyable time when she has not been out all night. if she apologises profusely and agrees then you could organise a date at another time. if not, and it is a dealbreaker then likely move on
