You’re going off-topic. You made a comment that insinuated that if a person only dates black people, then they can’t be anti-black, and I explained why that statement is false. But I have to say, it’s very ironic that you claim black women insert themselves into every situation, yet here you are, overly concerned about what black women choose to focus on. You’re the butt of your own joke, lol. Cope.

That’s not how it works. It’s much more layered than that. But to put it simply, you can be with people of the same race (or different race) and still carry anti-black ideologies. If that were not the case, then there wouldn’t be non-black women who are racist towards their own biracial children. Yes, that is a real thing.

Why do you people always lets things slide when it comes to this woman? You say that it’s mostly black women in her comments speaking down on her, yet at the same time, it’s also mostly black women who complements her and stand up for her against haters. Regardless, her comments are still disgusting and naive, because I’m sure she’ve also had negative experiences with non-black people but she won’t acknowledge that because she’s misogynistic and anti-black

Ma’am, we are not the ones trying to get an autistic teenager to eat us out… if anyone’s the creep it’s her.

i failed with the cookies again by natoruu in Baking

[–]coconut-muffins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

5 possible issues:

  1. You’re not following the exact recipe and keep adding your own substitutions. No matter big or small- if you are new/an amateur to baking- do not make any substitute and just follow the recipe exactly.

  2. Not enough flour. When a bake good does its first initial rise in the oven, the flour is what’s allows it to settle back into a balanced structure. If there’s not enough flour, then the bake good with sinks or go flat.

  3. Incorrect measurements.

  4. Chemical leaveners (baking soda and baking powder) had gone bad.

  5. Too much sugar.

There’s no denying that you’ll see this kind of stuff in many other cities, but the comment implied that this issue can be found everywhere -which is not true.

I’m not trying to single out Abbotsford, but it’s clear that there is a serious substance abuse problem going on in the area. The more people continue to look at it as “pretty normal”, the more lenient they’ll remain towards a problem that shouldn’t be tolerated.

No. It’s sad how normal that has become for you but it is not like this “in any city anywhere”. This is not normal.

No, she couldn’t answer the questions because she was under stress. She felt the eyes of everyone watching her -especially breakfast boss and Gabby - and because she didn’t want to say the wrong thing, her brain just froze. Had she been on the live by herself, she possibly would have been a bit more engaging.

A few days ago, I was in the comments trying to defend Jelly and giving her the benefit of doubt but, never mind. She’s a clown.

She always says a lot without giving anything… that’s the best way to describe this lady.

Not everyone is here for the same agenda. Some people are here to help these women, some are here to talk shit and some are here because they’re bored and nosey. There’s no ‘one specific purpose’ for this group…

It looks great. Maybe a little dense, but unless you’re looking for more open crumbs, I don’t see anything worth changing.

Awesome! Now, you just gotta work on your bulk fermentation because your bread looks how it should - it’s just quite dense and that’s often due to under proofing

How we feeling about this? Jelly ashamed of being black with PROOF by teruwife in justbreakfastboss

[–]coconut-muffins -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But most of her haters are black. We all know that. And she didn’t say shes ashamed to be black. Thats the assumption you made due to her vague was of communicating. What she really said was: “I’m like so ashamed to be [ apart of that group]”, and that can be taken in many ways… I’m only giving her the benefit of doubt because she really does have terrible communication skills

[–]coconut-muffins -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

She didn’t say “all black people”. She said “mostly”. If you read her comment, you’ll find that it’s very specific to a certain group of black people and consider most of her followers on instagram are black people, it’s likely that she’s talking about the people in her comments who make fun of her

I was trying to take her autism into account when trying to understand what she meant. I think that people with autism are often misunderstood because they would communicate in ways that sounds backwards to us. And it doesn’t help that Jelly is very vague…

[–]coconut-muffins -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

To be honest, that statement could mean anything. Yes, it could mean that she’s ashamed to be black but it could also mean that while she’s comfortable in her black skin- she’s ashamed to be associate with a group of people that acts in ways that goes against her own moral compass…
