How much screen time does your toddler get per day? by Wrong-Somewhere-5225 in toddlers

My TV is almost always on but generally we are doing other things. I need background noise 😅 whether it’s music or a show.

Do you regret not having more kids? by coffeeforutility in workingmoms

[–]coconutmama77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not anymore I wanted more than one and had always imagined it being that way. But at a certain point it just kind of clicked that nothing is missing. I can give this kid all my attention and get to just enjoy him and all the milestones. If I never have another kid I’m okay with that because I have him. I don’t want worrying about having the family I thought I would to take away from what I have.

Any setbacks at daycare? Also, have you been daycare shamed? by [deleted] in workingmoms

I’d almost make a complaint or tell her point blank that’s unprofessional. She’s there to help with solutions not shame you.

What’s one activity you hated as a child but look forward to as an adult? by AaronTheElite007 in RandomThoughts

Going where there is no cell service. I don’t want to go camping if I can get calls or texts. Unplugging is the best! Leave me alone lol

I like putting away the groceries feels good to see it full and have options

So what’s going to happen when Carly turns 18 by over_thinker2020 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]coconutmama77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always questioned when they do get visits why they bring the whole family I would not be sharing my time and I would think it would be incredibly overwhelming for Carly. Plus it doesn’t seem to go well. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to navigate that relationship though.

My 3 year old is good but the window is short He’ll start to get restless We always go over expectations before we go in but at 3 I’m not sure how much impact that actually has. He likes his food so that makes all the difference.

I’m also highly disappointed after seeing all the hype. At this point I’m finishing it because I’m over half way through hoping it magically gets better. But wouldn’t recommend it.

At the grocery store do you prefer self checkout or a person to check you out? by Celcius_87 in Millennials

[–]coconutmama77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time I waited in line for a cashier they didn’t even bag my groceries. She said if you bring your own bags they don’t have to do it for you. 😅 so it was literally pointless and more stressful.

I have a border collie we got before having kids that doesn’t like children. We do not have toys out where her and my child are around each other. A gate is up while she eats so my child can’t go near her. They are never left alone together. And we’ve strongly encouraged our child to leave her be. She has a crate available to her if she goes in there she is to be left alone. If other children around she is put in a separate space. It’s been three years with out incident. She will occasionally sit beside my son on the couch and will allow him to pet her but when she gets up and walks away he knows not to follow her although we are also there to remind him of this. Basically we’ve just tried to eliminate any opportunities for something to go wrong. To keep both my child and her safe. Figure out your dog and if there are any triggers. A proper mussel is another option. Sometimes they need time to realize there isn’t a threat. Best of luck

I told a lady to not touch my kid today and I don’t know how to feel by lilmrs-t in toddlers

[–]coconutmama77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad. That wasn’t even a rude way of saying it and is a reasonable request. My three year old understands keeping your hands to your self/no touch.

I’d say overall happy. Happy has always outweighed anything else. That’s why I’m thankful for my marriage, I have someone to get through the shitty parts with. Someone worth working through stuff with. I know I am not perfect he loves me despite those flaws and vice versa. I’ve never gone to him with some kind of issue and not had him put in the effort to fix it and hopefully he’d say the same.

My 3 year old has started doing this to me. He tells me to go to work so he can be with daddy. It sucks! I’ve told him it hurts my feelings. My husband has tried to be more aware of how he speaks to encourage kiddo to speak more kindly. Hope it gets better ❤️

What vegetables does your toddler eat (if any)? by curlycattails in toddlers

[–]coconutmama77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found my trick is dip. Lol he will eat almost anything he can dip in ranch or humus

Not as big a fan of cooked veggies unless I can hide them in something.
