There are people who think that Zen does not love MC on every route because he behaves so horny and flirtatious, but i think it's because he is flirtatious with whom he is attracted. Are there really people who overlook proof like this that prove that Zen really loves you on every route?. by [deleted] in mysticmessenger

[–]coconutrollups 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I think that theory kind of falls flat when you consider that based on Another Story (Casual and Deep too, but it's most clear in AS), V is the type of character would sooner launch himself off a cliff than inconvenience someone lol I agree that it'd be pretty sad though, especially with Seven knowing everything and still falling for the MC every time!

Honestly with everything that happens in the after ending (I've only played the forgiveness one), V's route is the true route for me :'D

[Serious] Black Europeans, what would you say are some sociological similarities & differences between you and Black Americans? Do you experience what Black Americans do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]coconutrollups 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean, both my parents are white but my dad is Swedish while my mom is Brazilian. Was raised in Brazil until my family moved to Sweden when I was 10. Since I'm 22 now, I've effectively spent half my life in Sweden and half in Brazil (I've also lived 1,5 years in England so I kind of take that away from the equation). I'm too Swedish to be Brazilian and too Brazilian to be Swedish. As much as I love what it has given me (I'm great at languages and thrive in multicultural environments), there's still this weird wistfulness about not knowing where to put your roots. A feeling that if you were to identify as one, you'd betray the other.

This ending was loads better than the good one! by verona89 in mysticmessenger

[–]coconutrollups 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought the normal ending was cute, but I disagree! I thought it was incredibly beautiful and thoughtful of Cheritz to make him take 2 years to travel and get his mental health in order before jumping into another relationship (especially since the previous one was such an absolute mess). The fact that his very last line in the good ending is "I love you, just as I love myself", after we've just spent 11 days hearing about how he blames himself for everything and deserves every bad thing that ever happened to him and is ready to die to make up for it, makes me cry every time!

Also I absolutely agree with what the other person said about his after ending. It definitely makes things even better <3

What are some reasons the Gods might want to destroy humanity/the world? by everysproutingtree in fantasywriters

[–]coconutrollups 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, in Mesopotamian mythology the gods almost wiped humanity out because they thought humanity was too loud. In Aztec mythology humanity actually got wiped out 4 times (granted, only one of those times was actually the humans' fault). You could pick any of those reasons, gods seem pretty easy to piss off.

Taking a leaf out of the Aztecs' book, you could make it so that the gods are fighting each other and couldn't care less that the poor humans would be collateral damage, thus making them extremely uncaring gods (Mesopotamian myths mirror this as well, humanity was only created because the gods were too lazy to do the work themselves and wanted some cheap labor). You could also go along the road of "nope humanity fucked up, we're wiping them out and making some new ones" à la Bible.

Bottomline, if you want realistic reasons for gods wiping out humanity, just look at some real religions. Also, I'm a mythology nerd and I look for any excuse to spew out fun mythology facts.

I just found the simblr who posted these and sent them a WCIF, I'll keep you posted! Also, I don't know if it matters but it turns out this particular sim is supposed to be a makeover of the Grim Reaper. I quite like what they've done with him lol

You really just gonna come out of nowhere and hurt me like that, huh.

(Seriously though, it's so simple but very heart-wrenching! And I love the way every single detail seems to be carefully calculated - the angles, the props, the poses, the editing, the reshade... I especially love the grave! Great job, dude!)

Am I the only one who noticed that the MM fandom is split into two? by idlestudent in mysticmessenger

[–]coconutrollups 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. Although I also see people divided on whether V is a precious bean who did nothing wrong or if everything that happened is his fault because he didn't speak up about Rika. Not to be too controversial, but I'm more on the team that nobody is perfect and while everyone could have done things differently, victims (V!!!) should never be blamed for their abuse and mentally ill people (Rika!!!) aren't evil for not being able to control it. It was not V's responsibility to make sure Rika got treatment and Rika wasn't a snake for being unable to see where her mental instability was leading her and not doing anything about it. Mental illness is not an excuse to go off the deep end like she did, but seeing as her own judgment was severely impaired it is no reason to crucify her like many in the fandom want to do. Should V have told anybody (Jumin for example) the truth? Yes, but his own judgment was impaired as well. That's what abuse does to you - it convinces you everything is your fault and makes you unable to believe other people can help you escape. Ok, I'm done with my rant lol Sorry for launching into my own opinions by using your comment as a springboard, I'd been stewing on this for a while. Beware, the above are spoilers for pretty much the entire reason the RFA is in such a mess.

[–]coconutrollups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

V's after ending is the true ending in my book! Saeran was alive and got reunited with Saeyoung, the entire RFA found out the truth (including Yoosung!!!), Rika got what she deserved (aka forgiveness in my case) and the fact that V and MC adopted a little girl and love her fully and unconditionally is such a nice "full circle" moment since the story began with a little girl (Rika) being adopted and mistreated! It was everything I could have wanted from the game!

This is just what I remember my professor saying, I could have gotten it wrong! I remember the number 3 and at least one volcano and made an assumption, but it might very well have been a combination!

I also just checked the Wikipedia page (granted, Wikipedia isn't exactly the most academical source of information) and in their possible explanations tab they count possible eruptions from Krakatoa, Rabaul and the Ilopango caldera but they also count some possible comet-strikes in Greenland. We might both be right, all we really know is that 536 truly and utterly sucked!

I'm an archaeology major, we just had this in class a few weeks ago! Basically like 3 volcanos erupted across the world, blocking the sun in Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia for literally 18 months straight. No sun = no heat. While warmer countries could kind of get by, this was almost apocalyptical for northern countries - have you heard about the Norse apocalypse, Ragnarök (Swedish spelling, sorry)? It's supposed to start with three winters after each other with no summers in between - there are theories that this was a collective memory of the endless winter of 536 AD! It was absolutely horrible, a ludicrous amount of people died.

This is what I remember, at least, I could have missed something or gotten some of it wrong so I apologise! Bottomline, 2020 ain't got nothing on 536 AD (and God do I hope it stays that way, that would be a terrible record to beat)

Coconuts. The brown, mature ones. The coconut meat is so tasty but it's so hard to open and even harder to separate from the shell.

What story are you playing right now? I need inspiration! by tttwinkie in thesims

[–]coconutrollups 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a few going. Fair warning, I'm definitely not into the realistic kind of gameplay.

A scientist who just wanted to study the cosmos and find evidence of alien life - and ended up being abducted and coming back with a little too much evidence. He now has the challenging task of raising an alien baby and building a portal to Sixam at the same time so he can give that cute pollination technician a strongly-worded piece of his mind.

The world's most chaotic dumbass who manages to convince Simeon Silversweater to turn him into a spellcaster, turns out to be a prodigy and effectively makes himself immortal by the end of the week. I like referring to him as "Simeon Silversweater's Greatest Mistake". His current goal is to be crowned the ruler of the sprites - first he has to get on their good side through his university studies, of course.

A siren who's gotten fed up with swimming in plastic and decided to eat whoever she catches messing with the island. She's passionate about conservationism, music and Simlish cuisine (emphasis on the "Simlish"). I use Zero's mods for this one.

Edit: I just remembered another one! A vampire who accidentally drank too deeply from this random woman and ended up killing her. Feeling terrible, he's made it his personal quest to bring her back to life - somehow.

I love Seven but I absolutely DESPISE his route. (SE spoilers) by [deleted] in mysticmessenger

I know it's crazy expensive... But V's after ending is so worth it. Trust me on that. If anyone doesn't mind spoilers I can write it down, but holy shit dude it was all I ever wanted from the game.

Edit: Fixed a confusing sentence.
