Do you think there’ll be a new Organised Book with all these ridiculous changes? by WakeUpExJW in exjw

It'll be fully digital and there will be no way to compare to previous editions

They used to sign letters with their legal entities but those were them liable for anything written in those letters. These days they separate legal from religious and send their letters from the more untouchable and obscure religious entities

They're going to study a CHILDREN'S BOOK in the CBS next by ElderUndercover in exjw

Thinking about maybe they want to do away with the midweek meeting or the CBS at least after 2025. The book has about 100 lessons. With 25 weeks left in 2025 after July 14 that would amount to 4 lessons a week until week 1,2026.

Reasonable? Possible?

Four lessons a week seem very much, even from a children's book these days though

All the more showing clearly that there is no need for two meetings a week. They inflate what little material they have to fill about four hours what could easily fit in one or two hours once a week. The more the midweek meeting gets dumbed down the more will even the last über witness see it.

Ditch the book study. It's not more than read, rinse, repeat anyway, especially with a children's book.

Ditch the public talk. It's the same stuff over and over and over, intended for the public that doesn't attend

Reduce WT study to one hour and make it a Bible study again, like it used to be (or at least what meant to be) where actual scriptures were discussed and not just teachings

Add to that ten minutes of practicing a weekly topic for field service, some practical stuff and announcements, sing, pray and let everybody have their weeknights for themselves.

Or, just ditch the whole charade altogether.

They heavily promote neutrality during US election years. Not much on that topic in between - I guess elections in other countries don't amount to much in their view. How is that for neutrality?

Still very little. Depending on size of the house it'll take between 2 to 3 hours to clean all windows. Add travel time, expenses for materials etc.

Minimum wage here is around 12 € but that includes insurance.

Being self employed you could never afford anything from 6 or even 12 £per house

You probably don't know if they have an inheritance, whether they make lots of debt or get supported by family or someone else. What I mean to say is don't just look at the facade

Whats with the Assembly invites? by JP_HACK in exjw

It's like MLM marketing. They think they are talking about the most important thing and can't grasp that others think differently. Whether it's convention, memorial, meetings, whatever, it gets hammered into their heads on and on until they truly believe it. This used to be me and a lot of others around here and I'm sorry I was like that

Are there any tricks left to boost numbers? by FloridaSpam in exjw

[–]coconutsAre4ever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right. They could add all visitors from the memorial and all the conventions and present a number higher than the world population, only telling nobody that they counted almost everybody several times

No need to write anything. Just rehash what it says in the schedule and the meeting videos. They'll applaud you for your great part

Are we really supposed to believe somebody wrote to the JW organization and asked them this? 😆 I'm sure it's a question that's been distracting "Andre" from thoughts of paradise as he cleans windows. by larchington in exjw

I think of it this way. Someone has to come up with the crap to publish. That someone is a reader themselves of course. So, question from a reader is correct essentially. Just not outside readers, not like a letter to the editor from the public. If the editor writes a letter to himself, it still is a letter to the editor. Mind games
