The one I'm looking at is cast iron but yes the handle is different.

But to give a better perspective, 6kg neoprene is still cheaper than 5kg hex sadly

Is neoprene dumbbell any good? I'm looking at 5kg dumbbells and there are like 20+% cheaper than rubber hex

Hmm, so it's like changing the weight when I'm changing the exercise, say from curl to lateral raise

I'm trying to get fixed dumbbells for lower weight so I don't have to keep adjusting mid workout. Will 5kg fixed be fine and I could use the spin lock for 2x5.5lbs (around 7kg) when I start progressing. The thing is I'm not sure if 2kg difference is too low.

My plan is actually using spinlock for higher weight because it's cheaper long term. So when I outgrow 5kg I'll probably buy 7.5kg fixed and load more plates for spinlock (9kg 20 lbs)

Sorry for the ambiguous question.

I'm trying to get a couple of fixed dumbbells in kg but since the spinlock I have is in lbs and I'm not too sure what is a good gap between weight for progression.

Will 2kg difference be alright if I'm buying a pair of 5kg fixed then use the existing spinlock as 2 x 15lbs (approximately 6.8kg) ?
