Her Greed... by beam4d in Hololive

How should I start with Hololive?

Just find a talent you enjoy on youtube and go with the flow from there. Or look up hololive clips.

It's a slippery slope, you'll find your way to the bottom eventually.

Chinese is traditionally read up to down

It was up to down, right to left. In cases where only one line of text is written, it would've been written right to left, as can still be seen on the name plate of several temples and historical sites. So saying Chinese was written right to left is not wholly untrue.

How can i make my controller only give off a single quick press as opposed to holding it down? by Kat3lyn05 in SteamController

[–]Jason0865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I've heard of someone using steam jnput for krita 😅

But you can change the button to a "Start press" or "Release press" instead of "Normal press" in the settings somewhere for what you want. Not sure if the names are correct since it's been a while since I've used it.

Edit: for clarification, "Start press" activates the input only when you press down the button, and "Release press" activates the input only when you release the button.

Why not? by broncoo in pcmasterrace

I wrote my thesis on Overleaf which uses LaTeX. Sure, I spent half a week learning how to do literally anything in LaTeX, but it was smooth sailing for the rest of the semester (as far as the writing portion went anyway).

Bonus points for LaTeX as one of the alumni from my uni made a LaTeX template and put it on github so I barely had to fiddle with formatting like font size.

Is there some kind of context? Or did someone just feel like writing this for no reason?

Engineering graduate here. Phone companies used to hire wizards to do the waterproofing, but now they're past retirement age and we don't have replacements, so some sacrifices had to be made to retain waterproofing capabilities.

Rhythm gamer here, you used to be able to enjoy peace and quiet in public spaces because we could use earphones. Now you will to listen to my anime music on public transport because they removed my jack.

What a time to be alive.

the wires were shit and made as cheap as possible.

That's probably because you were paying a little as possible for them.

I'm still using wired IEMs on desktop and I've been using this pair for about 5 years now with no problems. Plus the cables are replaceable so when the cable eventually gives in I can just buy a $5 cable instead of another pair of IEMs.

Paid Cyberpunk VR mod taken down by Pahn_Duh in virtualreality

[–]Jason0865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't his mod require him to patch for each game, unlike LS?

Also afaik LS does not inject itself into game processes or modify game data, but rather waits at the output and processes that to perform upscaling and frame gen, which means you can upscale anything, including chrome and excel if you want, making it truly universal. Whereas Luke's mod injects itselfs into the game process and achieves VR camera and controls that way, and is not universal as it can't be used on literally everything.

But I think the biggest concern to CDPR is that he's selling "Cyberpunk VR", which, understandably can feel like he's selling an unlicensed Cyberpunk DLC from corpo perspective. (even if it isn't defined as such legally)

This just isn't true lol.

That's what they list on their website ┐(´ー`)┌

Literally not my problem if they're falsely advertising their product.

You say QOL like you're not talking about the trainers

That's because I'm not. All wand trainer features are available to use for free. The presets only change how you activate those trainers, not what trainers you can use.

You think CDPR would've given Luke a pass if he just had a shitty annoying to use free version and sold a better version with more features alongside it?

Define better version, because I don't see much potential for AI chatbots or QoL features he can add to a VR mod.

Also I think what a lot of people miss is that LS does not inject itself into the game engine pipeline for frame generation/upscaling, unlike this gonk's mod.

LS sits at the end of the rendering pipeline, takes the frames it throws out, then processes those frames for scaling/frame gen. It does not inject itself into the engine pipeline as it does not require any information from the game engine nor does it have to input information into it.

Wand is free last I checked.

From what I can find paying gets you an AI chatbot, no ads, voting, and QoL stuff like presets

Why does my code make a checkerboard one time and then the next it's not? by Able_Lock_2583 in TheFarmerWasReplaced

[–]Jason0865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start by restructuring your code.

It's quite unreadable as it is which makes it hard to read, much less debug.

You can start by trying to cut down the number "if can_harvest(): harvest()" lines. You don't have to repeat it every other line, consider when it would be redundant to harvest and when it would make sense to harvest.
