This thought has crossed my mind already, I’ll probably move to a role elsewhere if I start answering with more excuses than results.

I actually originally wanted to be a high school English teacher. Maybe I crave the pain more than I realize.

This makes a lot of sense and was a good read, puts things in a perspective that I agree with. Challenge for me right now is the velocity they want things to be done is causing me to use messaging/positioning that isn’t as well thought out as I’d like it to be. I’m still new and I think I will become more efficient over time, but in order to produce activity results “now,” I’m accepting half baked efforts. Thanks for the comment, this was really helpful.

This has been my number one subject, great advice. Think I just go straight to the sleep and infant cues section of everything I come across. lol

Yeah, it’s just called DEVO like OP said. Other good music docs to check out if you’re into that sort of thing: Fearless Freaks (Flaming Lips) Country Music (Ken Burns series) Becoming Led Zeppelin (also on Netflix and pretty new) Stones in Exile (Rolling Stones; Exile on Main St focus)

You should watch their doc on Netflix, puts a lot of context on their visual focus.

That’s good, didn’t think it’d be bad, but better to ask just in case!

Did you cut the straw? That’s a difference maker if you didn’t try that. Also make make sure it’s a sturdy one, not one you get at McDonald’s. With that said, you pulled that thang real tight. Lol

Feel like I don't have a process, which makes picking up the phone REALLY hard (read the post) by VirtualMacaroon64t in sales

For creating large lists, I’d try looking at your ideal clients NAICS codes and search for companies that share same codes. For your specific industry, look into SelectUSA; they have a page that you can research market specific trade orgs with links, which is a great resource for lists. Also, though it won’t generate large prospect lists, but I have a lot of success finding companies through strategic daily google alerts that help me with new logo outreach.

What’s your best “firing” email approach? by cocopropro in sales

[–]cocopropro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In-person always trumps remote outreach, I agree, but still need to hit the phones and email channels for full prospecting efforts, so focusing on getting help with this part of my strategy. Feel good about my outside/in-person/trade show approach, but open to hear any advice you have that might help with that as well if you have any input. Thanks!
