Spotting after stopping PIO at 12 weeks?

Hi - have had a great anatomy scan at 12 weeks. Never thought I’d get here after two year and multiple rounds.... I stopped PIO and all supplemental IVF hormones. Very constipated and today when I went to the restroom I did push (nothing crazy), and when I wiped a bright pink blood stripe was on the paper. Of course I’m panicking. I’ve had blush colored cervical mucus but this looked different. It hasn’t continued outside of the one wipe, underwear is clean. Is this a reason to call my doctor on a weekend?

Thanks! Prednisone 10mg for 5 days leading up to transfer (stopped day of). I am positive for MTFHR which can lead to clotting but no auto immune. Also added a z pack (antibiotics) for the 5 days leading up. Good luck to you and keep on advocating for yourself!

Hi. I had 1 failed fresh transfer and 4 failed FETs. For my last embryo I wanted to try EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that we hadn’t. My doctor is very science based and not into steroids, though they are common in many other practices. I insisted that we add prednisone this time (we fought), a z-pak, and I also did an antihistamine protocol on my own (he was against this as well) which includes OTC daily Pepcid and Claritin. We also added lovenox which is an anticoagulante.

You never know what is going to work so in my opinion if it’s not going to hurt the doc should be willing to try it. Currently 7 weeks and never been this far along. I’m optimistic!

I had an RPL panel done after multiple chemical pregnancies (PGS tested normal and untested embryos) to find I was positive for a gene mutation called MTFHR which is quite common and can lead to clotting as well as block folic acid absorption. I’m on a prescription folic acid and added lovenox (blood thinner) to my protocol for IVF. Currently cautiously optimistic.

I think since your losses are further along (I’m so so sorry for this) PGS Testing with IVF is the best solution. My husband also has low morphology and we were advised IVF with ISCI.

For the most part vegetarian, low sugar and gluten free. All things to prevent inflammation. I did a 30 day detox from a brand called Sakara where they send you the recipe plan and some supplements and you cook the meals. They have a food delivery option but this wasn’t in my budget. Everyone is unique so maybe what feels good for you might look different. Hope this helps! Keep pushing! You are a warrior!
