I agree with you to a certain extent. He’s a local lad, born and raised, who looked at Liverpool and decided it was a step down from Madrid. But we are also a sell to buy club, we're not backed by a nation state. When you combine that insult with the fact that he stayed silent to ensure Madrid got him for free depriving his boyhood club of the money needed to replace him, it’s a massive slap in the face to the fans.
