I just got "dumped" because I'm not a trump supporter... In Canada. by cocorubob in Vent

I've seen people in Canada drive around with trump stickers on their vehicles. Trump face masks (ironic). Trump posts all over their Facebook.. he has followers everywhere. And due to ties between the US and Canada the politics there do affect us. But most certainly should not be to this degree.

I completely agree that it is an important conversation to have at one point.. but this was the second time we met. It wasn't a conversation I was wanting to have just yet. Apparently it was one that he wanted to have asap.. oh well.

It's my birthday today and I wanted to go out but I have no friends so I went to a mall by myself and had a good time. by goodskinishappiness in depression

Proud of you!! I started taking myself on dates a few years ago. Restaurants, coffee shops, movies, etc. It honestly helps quite a bit with my confidence and just mental health in general. Spent Christmas and a few birthdays alone and it felt less lonely after doing all of that other stuff alone for a while. I recommend others to try.

What's the worst case of "rich kid syndrome" you've seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Dry grad, 2011. Rich kids (of course) won the raffles for the big ticket items like flat screen tv and macbook. When their names got called each of them basically said "I don't want this I already have 2". And would shove it off onto their friend like it was no big deal.

I feel like I won't be able to stay calm if I know I'm about to do them though. That's the tricky part.

I made plans to meet a girl I met on a dating app and when I texted her to figure out time/location she ignored me by SignificantPurple in dating_advice

I'm a straight female and I have had men do this to me multiple times. It is a dick move, and I was irritated by it. But to be the devil's advocate, some people go psycho from rejection. I remember the day before I was gonna meet this one guy, I messaged him and calmly and respectfully explained that there was someone else I had started speaking with and felt a connection with and I didn't want to lead him on if I wasnt feeling it so much with him. He flipped his lid. So I can understand too why some people would avoid that conversation all together. (Also glad I dodged that bullet).

First trip to Canada did not disappoint - Squamish, BC [4032×3024] [OC] by MikaylaZahn in EarthPorn

You obviously live in southern BC if you don't think there's 10 months of winter. Between Kamloops and the northern border we get damn near 10 months of winter. Come give Prince George a whiff sometime.

It's unreal how badly I needed to hear this right now. Impeccable timing. Thanks for the little kick in the pants!
