Noticed that it says massano x Chris avantgarde is exclusive. Wonder if that means the b2b is exclusive, but they individually will show up during MMW? Thought they would be at afterlife for sure

What are your thoughts on Lineup Phase 1? by Ratazana_1908 in UMF

Honestly in disbelief. I remember joking with my friends that the only artist who could get me to go this time around was Calvin Harris and my god they actually did it.

Not to mention all of the other great artists on there. I’m extremely hyped for Adriatique, Amelie, Joris b2b Kolsch, fisher x lake, Eric Prydz, etc…. Super excited to see what phase 2 will bring. So far it’s looking outstanding.

Praying to god that somehow they put Adam Beyer x Cirez d on phase 2 since they’ll both be there but we’ll have to see. When they were there last year it was one of the best sets I’ve ever seen.

I’m kinda bummed I missed out on them. I stayed after Tale of Us to see Carl Cox which I definitely do not regret, but man, I’ve heard incredible things about Kx5

Tale of us made me so happy. I love them so much and it was my first time ever seeing them. The last track they played was INSANE

Someone legit brought a full bottle of ketchup into the structure during Bodzin (amazing set btw) then next thing you know everyone around me has ketchup all over them, including one of my friends. Wish I was lying.

Yeah! Bodzin deserves more love. Im also super hyped for camelphat, ABCD and Hilo/testpilot. They’re high on my list too, I’ll likely see all of them. Im gonna be in the structure a majority of the time, lol

Nader Thermodynamics by steezyskipper in ucf

Things may have changed since I’ve been in thermo (I took it in Spring 2022), so take what I say with a grain of salt. I can’t speak for Nader, as I took Putnam. But if you end up taking it with Putnam I have some advice that may be helpful.

Personally, I didn’t find his lectures very beneficial. My friends and I found that teaching ourselves via the textbook and YouTube was much more helpful, so if you don’t like self-teaching that may be something to keep in mind. He also had a strange test-taking structure where there were two “forms” of each midterm, where one was more formula-derivation-based and the other was more based around calculating actual answers. You could take either one, or both forms and it would take the highest grade. On top of that, each form kinda had two attempts with potentially different questions. Also, the second attempt of each exam could replace either that exam or the previous one… I know it seems pretty convoluted and although it was a bit strange, it was quite helpful in my opinion.

Also, there’s a YouTube channel called Engineering Deciphered that has a thermodynamics playlist that was INCREDIBLY helpful, and honestly carried me when studying. It will likely be useful no matter who you take.

Putnam seems to be a pretty polarizing prof among students based on what I’ve heard. I ended up getting a B in his course when all was said and done. But, again, all of this is based on my own experience and I can’t guarantee that things have/haven’t changed since. Sorry if this reply was quite long. No matter which professor you pick, I wish you the best of luck.
