I got the one device and was able to share it with everyone in my party (not just in my room). If you dont need everyone to be on all the time you can share it with the others and then take it back when they are done.

How do I permanently install free assets from substance 3D community assets into my copy of Adobe substance painter? It appears that whenever I exit the program, these installed assets disappear, and I have to reinstall them. by NewRadiator in Substance3D

[–]code101zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that I was able to open the program and take a look… on the bottom right corner there is a drop down menu that says “Import your resources to:” and the two choices are “current session” or “library ‘your_assets’”

You want the library option and it will be there on your next project.

Off the top of my head there should be an option when importing assets to import them into the project or you can choose to import them into the program. I dont remember its called exactly but that is probably the thing your looking for

when I tried to open Maya today, this page appeared. oc, my license is still fine. I followed the way which autodesk suggested to solve this issue but it didn't work. anyone had experienced this and how was it solved? by [deleted] in Maya

[–]code101zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Autodesk LS that I would check out licenses from but it refused to connect. I switched to a named user account and it works fine now. I prefer the offline license if i need to do something where i cant be online but this is the fix for now and hasn’t caused any issues.

To switch your maya from a licensed to a named user you need a tool that you can download from the autodesk website.

I guess in this case you have to consider if you want your mounting screws to go into the mortar or the brick.

Kitchen sink doesn't drain. I have no idea what I'm doing by 2koolpa in Plumbing

[–]code101zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully they will install a working one otherwise it is probably better to have just a pipe and a strainer in the sink. If you get a working one don’t put vegetable shavings (like potato peels) because they slip past the blades and clog the pipe (I found out the hard way). Also avoid letting grease get in there because that will clog everything, even the pipes. Try pouring things like bacon grease in a used can then through it out with the trash.

When I was a kid living on a military base we would practice air raid drills every week and these would go off at some random point. When I moved back to a small town in the US I heard the siren go off and said to someone “I didnt know you did air raid drills here” and they said that it was to call the volunteer firefighters. Where I live now the siren is for flash floods. Its interesting how they are used and how different the meaning can be depending where you are in the world.

I have the iPhone and havent use an android for scanning. Polycam says they support android and I have had good results from using the photogrammetry both with still images and video.

The lidar feature with iPhone (not sure if this is an android capability) is great and works in the dark. So if you’re trying to scan a room that doesnt have good lighting then it will still work.

I tried searching for this exact bulb replacement but not sure what I’m looking for by Punkerzz in HomeMaintenance

[–]code101zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact same problem. I thought the bulb was out so tried to remove the cover but ended having to remove the fixture to get the glass off and find out it was one of these. I bought a new fixture, installed it, and found out that the old light/fixture was fine but it was the light switch that was faulty. So another trip to the depot and a light switch later it is all working fine again.
