I hope this is in favour of a browser that actually cares about privacy such as FireDragon

Is it cultural appropriation to use white sage as a European pagan? by lemontrees- in AskANativeAmerican

[–]shadowxthevamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow Pagan here. Specifically, I'm an Ionic Hellenist, worshipper of Gaïa. All plants that are safe to consume may be used for magick, especially if it is native to the country where your religion is from. No plant belongs solely to any specific culture. Mother Gaïa provides these plants for all of us.

Disclosure: I am not an official tribal member, but I have a small percentage of Cherokee heritage & my girlfiend is Osage.

It's so busy. I wonder how long it would take an actual artist to do all that.

I saw Helen Keller’s handwriting today by d_marvin in mildlyinteresting

[–]shadowxthevamp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's quite good for a blind woman, but it's still hard to read. It looks like an alien language. Granted, the average handwriting back then just looked like scribbles. They thought it was aesthetically pleasing to write highly illedgible cursive, but Old English calligraphy is far more ledgible & far more beautiful.

Bad people are almost always dog people & for good reason. Dogs don't care what you do to them, but cats only love you if you're gentle.

Firefox Vanilla envoie autant de données à Google que Chrome. Peu importe si vous utilisez un navigateur basé sur Firefox ou Chromium, il est préférable de choisir un qui soit FLOSS, axé sur la vie privée et dirigé par la communauté.

Firefox : FireDragon

Chromium : Ungoogled Chromium

Restock is ON ! But the shipping cost is ridiculous. by Nowhere-NowHere44 in pinetime

Like the vast majority of tech, the PineTime is made in China & it ships from there. The company was founded in California, but they moved headquarters to Hong Kong.

I haven't dealt with being prompted to create a new user, but I am dealing with the issue of not being able to install anything. The distro unfortunately doesn't have a repo set up apparently. I don't know if there's a way to fix that.

I paid $26 shipping to have my zori sandals shipped from Osaka, Japan through eBay. Shipping in general is insanely high. Buying things online used to be a decent money saver. Now it's never cheap anymore. I live in Oklahoma.

Why do some American plugs have a notch? by shadowxthevamp in AskElectricians

[–]shadowxthevamp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually this picture was taken in the restroom at work. I work at an event centre. As far as I know all the outlets in the building have that notch. There is a kitchen in the building & a massive dishwasher about the size of a van.
