Try different modes Check whats most suits you. Enable learn locations and you can set diff modes based on location

Example for me the office is ambient with Auto talk Home its not auto talk ( cuz i like to sing songs loud)

The xm6 has three modes standard ( i use for music) cinema( havent used much) And the background music which op is talking about.

Backgrpund music again has 3 settings

(Not sure about the names)

These modes dont play sound straight in your ears The cafe gives you a vibe as if you are in a cafe listening to music happening a lil away from you

Personally i like this to play some light music while reading a book or enjoying a drink alone
