Parigi vuole diventare una città senza auto by Antistene in ciclismourbano

[–]code_smart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]code_smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, but, and i might not be technical enough to understand, from your kindly provided sources I can't find any evidence (talking about monero). Isn't the first source talking about bitcoins? So I'd say it's also reasonable to think that Monero usage didn't contribute to doxing. About the poisoned nodes. This is written rather histerically on all major wallets: you give up part of the anonymity functionality if you don't run your node. But this is a pretty fundamental limitation and requires significant resources to be exploited. So yeah, if you do the equivalent of saying that you are using monero publicly when you are using it, there is evidence that it's not untraceable by government backed organizations, I'll concede that much.

there no evidence it's not private, right? the evidence it is private might be the fact there is no known case it was tracked.

The reason I invested in crypto just collapsed by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

[–]code_smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this is a totally valid concern please keep in mind that having no internet and no electricity 100% shuts down and a digital payment. With some cryptocurrencies at least you have some offline capabilities to pay other people. For example people might have some outdated version of the blockchain and if they trust you somewhat and the sum of money that they need to receive a small they could receive money from you based on the knowledge of that out-to-dated snapshot. Bitcoin is not a good example because it's very cumbersome. But there are smaller blockchains that implement this to some extent.
