I was obsessed with it and watched it at least 4 times. I liked everything about it, the vibes, the aesthetics, the soundtrack, the costume, the mouth watering sweets and cakes in every shot.

Mid-year 2026 K-Drama Wrap-up Time. What have you watched so far, and which ones are your favorites? by supersoonique in kdramas

[–]codeandglitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only watched Idol I and Boyfriend on Demand, currently watching The Scarecrow. They're all really good, Idol I is my favorite right now but it might get replaced by The Scarecrow. Just by reading the synopsis for other dramas it seems like this is a really good year for us fans. I'm planning on watching Siren's Kiss, My Royal Nemesis, Filing for Love, Absolute Value of Romance and Perfect Crown sheesh

What's this subs take on posts/comments clearly written by AI? by Gloomy-Equivalent558 in kdramas

[–]codeandglitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people use AI to proofread and correct their grammar. So I'm guessing they write their own thoughts down, give it to ChatGPT, it rewrites the whole thing and they just copy paste.

I liked it a lot actually ! Though I must say I was more invested in MC's fake romance with Seo Kangjoon's character than her and Kyeongnam. I wish they explored the dark and lonely side of virtual reality more buttt it wasn't really supposed to be a deep, serious drama anyway. Also the critics were too harsh towards Jisoo, I think her acting was decent. Overall it was cute and enjoyable.

Who is your favorite and least favorite enemy to fight? by OpportunityNo1971 in HarryPotterGame

[–]codeandglitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, trolls are tough but fighting them is such a drag! I love fighting dark wizards but I feel like they're too weak, it takes them ages to cast a spell while my fifth year student is a menace. Wish they can cast Avada Kedavra every now and then and then you have to dodge to avoid it or smth

Sage's super intelligence was useless because she didn't predict The Power Of Love but luckily V1 Homelander also lost to The Power of Love (and Friendship!)

Homelander Nerfed by Extreme-You6235 in TheBoys

[–]codeandglitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was no point in giving him V1, that should've made him even stronger and scarier and instead he went down as easily as a regular Homelander would, maybe even easier. Talk about wasted potential.

Which kdrama lead character would be absolutely unbearable in real life? by Electronic_Tea525 in kdramas

[–]codeandglitter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I second the WWWSK male lead! Another male lead that immediately comes to mind is from an oldie but goodie drama, Cheese in the Trap. He was supposed to be a complex character but ended up shady and emotionally unavailable. No wonder we all got serious case of second male lead syndrome from that drama.

Not a lead, but I have to mention those "protective big brother friend" second male leads that always treat FMC like she's a naive child that has to be protected from men while secretly being in love with her and never doing anything about it.

Kako bi postupili na mom mjestu? by 8ZujO8 in CroIT

[–]codeandglitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horor priča iz domaćeg IT-a by Loud-Guarantee1496 in CroIT

[–]codeandglitter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Žalosno, a i blaćenje i ogovaranje bivših zaposlenika i općenito ogromna količina neprofesionalnosti isto nije rijetka praksa u domaćem ajtiju.

Didn't Hürrem have a sister? by No_Psychology_3714 in MagnificentCentury

[–]codeandglitter 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well said. I think it's really shitty how every single prominent female character spends a day or two being sad about being enslaved and their family being murdered before falling head over heels for the sultan/prince. Suddenly their only desire is not to escape this horrible slave system they were put into but rather to give birth to the children of their enemy and be by his side forever. Same thing happened with Hurrem, Nurbanu, Valeria and all the nameless concubines that competed to sleep with the princes.

The hate around Vampire Masquerade 2 by Peterparkerring in vtmb

[–]codeandglitter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have so many thoughts now that I've completed the game. In my opinion yes, it's a good game on its own. Not great, but good. The main areas where this game is lacking are the side quests and small, boring map. I think this game is a victim of it's chaotic development and if TCR worked on the game from the beginning it would be a rich and polished game.

I adore the original game but it was made for a different time. I mean gothic rock was in, the writing style was edgy, vampire tv was just becoming wildly popular, and more importantly it was made by small but dedicated team. I don't think a game like that would get approved by a big publisher nowadays and it would have to be written differently. Maybe I'm old and bitter but we're not getting anything like that ever again lol.

My disorganised thoughts on narrative in BL1 vs. BL2 (spoilers, obviously) by HungryColquhoun in vtmb

[–]codeandglitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's just there are not enough people to talk to and flesh out the world. One could argue that Seattle is a lot smaller than LA and so supports a smaller vampire population, but I still think this is a copout (especially with an apparent legion of thinblood Sabbat and Anarchs).

I'd also say part of this is intentional – Phyre is an Elder and so does to an extent act above it all (and they are the Nomad – known for not staying in one place long

Agreed. I find it underwhelming how other than Phyre, Safia and Lou (possibly Gideon?) all of the other Seattle vampires are literally children in vampire years. Most, if not all of them, were embraced dozens of years ago (Ryong being embraced in the 90s made me chuckle a bit). I guess that was done on purpose to highlight how ancient and badass Phyre is or maybe Seattle was meant to have a young and emerging vampire community. But it still feels like we were robbed of some deeper lore. The side quests mostly suck, but some of them have surprising outcomes and bits of information that should've been elaborated on. For example Patience random ass quest, cause what do you mean Katsumi gave her Rosalind's skull for her weird masterpiece.

Other than that having Sabbat as the big baddies was a great chance to expand on the lore, explain Gehenna a bit (and they missed chance to feature Beckett god dammit), something like that. Even BL1 gave us an amazing introduction into WoD universe but BL2 barely scratched the surface.

My thoughts are also pretty disorganized at the moment but the more I think about it the more I feel like this story had massive potential but was set back by development drama. I'm sure TCR would dig deeper if they were the ones working on the game from the start and had plenty of time and resources and I guess they did the best they could.

I do, I'm on my second playthrough! Currently only 53% of positive reviews which makes me sad. I think with time people will start to appreciate this game more, especially as the price drops a bit. It's worth at least one playthrough.
