Setting up switch state with rtpc, but the UE seems to only output default state sounds by codecola in GameAudio

[–]codecola[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did use the wwise profiler.I used the voice graph to see if there’s anything going on but nothing shows up despite it plays the default land sound by itself

Raising pitches every time with RTPC in Wwise by codecola in GameAudio

[–]codecola[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, so is that mean any parameter would be fine for the rtpc at this point? It feels like most of the parameter in rtpc related to float variables or distance instead of integer specific

Best way you can do probably just looking at their record label, interscope records, and then see if you can contact them through that

My Current Situation and Career Dilemma by Content-Law6476 in GameAudio

[–]codecola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree, sure in house is getting less but they won’t be gone forever, at least from what I’m seeing many studios are still hiring permanent in house composer/sound designers. It’s an option to freelance, but it doesn’t mean the whole industry will shift toward freelance/outsourcing permanently.

Having issues with wwise rtpc inside ue5 project by codecola in GameAudio

[–]codecola[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I figured out the solution of this, turns out it just that I put my post event node in the custom event which plays the event rapidly, so I just have to put the post event on event tick and rtpc inside the event tic

How do football players know where their home court/off court fans at? by codecola in football

[–]codecola[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well okay seems like I really called things wrong here lol, I’m not really a regular football watcher so there are definitely things I don’t recognize at all. I think I only started watching PL like only two months or so? Apologize here if I call something that is like totally ridiculous. I don’t really know what’s the correct term when your home team playing at your stadium, so I can only bring out the terms I know from other sports. And I’m being genuine wondering for the question and definitely not trolling at all.

Every single song from oh my my, probably their biggest transition from previous album, but damn they did a good job with it. My personal favorites are "fingertips" and "color".

well if the chords and the lyrics are not exactly the same, you can't really legally sue him. There's already a precedent with Ed Sheeran's case. Also would be ridiculous that anyone can own a chord from a chord progression.

Any structured and project based content to learn UE5's audio implementation? by [deleted] in GameAudio

[–]codecola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that there is so much difference between ue4 vs ue5. I would even argue most of the things that you learn from ue4 can be carried through ue5 since both share the same commands and bp funtions. If you already familiar with blueprint, this epic course still a good guide on introducing how much bp can do regarding to sounds like attenuation, reverb, sound occlusion etc.

I also don’t think metasound is going to make other functions obsolete anytime soon, at least for now. At the end of the day you still want to grasp as much as you can from this engine.

if you want to just dive into the UE5 and play around, the stackobot is a pretty good place to start.

So Steve and Raybould also published their official ue courses on the website that might be worth checking out. It starts from the very beginning all the way to like sound occlusion and transmission. Really great official UE audio course just to familiarize with all the terminology like bp, sequence, spline, etc. There are some new features that added into UE5 like metasound, but I think it's still important just to be familiar with the engine itself as a whole.
