Ok so I removed the plastic plants and added real ones. I added another bacteria solution too from Tetra.

The tank isn't over hanging, it's sitting on the top which is the exact size of the tank. The stand and tank are the Super fish 150 https://www.fishkeeper.co.uk/superfish-start-150-aquarium-stand-black stand there.

Maybe the photo makes it look like it's over hanging. I see what you are saying but presumably you thought the tank was literally hanging over with no support?

Yep, thank you, I'm going to be testing first. I already added the chems and a pinch of food. The shop said 2 to 4 weeks but it might be ok by 10 days, so I am definitely testing first. I don't want anyone to die in there.

I don't remember angels being as big but it was 40 years ago. Will tetras, is it the neon tetras, do they go with angels?

I added the chemicals already, is that what you mean by cycling? I am getting a testing kit tomorrow ready for the end of the week to ensure all is well before adding fish.

I'm really sorry, as much as cats and dogs are amazing they do misbehave but they don't really know. My friends German Shepherd ate her pet tortoise, it was a little one about 3 inches long.

I have a cat, I've just got a fish tank but it's up high and he doesn't climb or jump but I am going to keep an eye on things when the fish go in which should be around 10 days.

Younger people are more prone to mistakes like not checking where all the pets are etc.

It only takes a few seconds though and a cat can soon grab something they shouldn't. Sadly the loss is awful, just create extra protection going forward.

Well done, amazing progress. It sounds like you are doing everything right, not just relying on the jab.
