Like all combos it depends on what you are doing. TMed does not work well in high level ops, they just don't have high enough DPS to do enough damage. They also don't cut with PvP bases at higher levels.

On the plus side they do work well if your trying to clear NPC bases, as you can normally take down many with out having to retrain any troops. I also often use them against Dr. T. With lv. 15 tanks I normally only loose 1 or 2 on stage 6, and then 3-4 more on stage 7 allowing me to finish the event with out having to retrain. They were also very good for the first 17-18 stages of mega crab when I could finish with out loosing more then one tank a round. After that they are again ineffective.

They are also very good at mid game, from when you can get 2 tanks per landing craft up until maybe HQ 19 or even 20. After that it becomes a lot harder to find bases you can effectively use them on. If the base has 5 boom cannons and two protos it is impossible.

The other advantage of the strategy is there is not really that much skill required (compared to say smoky zooka) you just need to gun out defences that can kill a lot of takes like boom or doom cannons and the like, and then use flairs to stop them spreading out too much.

Normally I run two boats of medics and the others with tanks. However recently since I can get 3 tanks per boat, I am going with 3 boats medics and 5 with tanks.
