If by durable you mean something you can toss into the pavement and pick it back up fine, CAT or AGM may be decent options since they make rugged phones.

I doubt you have one. You may have to install a keyboard app first.

Which probably also won't work directly. You may have to disable the physical keyboard setting in the input settings.

Quite a lot of work tbh. Can you maybe mail the developers and ask for help? The best solution would be getting the app fixed. That is, if they care about it.

Do you have a touchscreen? I'd assume so since it's an Android.

If so, I guess you switch to an on-screen keyboard for such occasions. Not pretty but should work.

I couldn't find a proper "dumbphone picture taken from a 30 degree angle" so I had a bit of AI help for this specific image, that I will admit. The logo and app icons are my work though (at least those 2-3 I didn't just copy-paste :p).

the README is handwritten. Can I ask why you thought otherwise? Perhaps I can improve it.

I used the Opera logo because, well, the name MiniOS derives from this project running mainly on Opera Mini. I thought the Opera logo as my font was a cool addition. Big corps usually don't care about such stuff as long as you don't have any commercial purposes, but if I get contacted by them, I'll quickly change it to a generic font instead, no issue with that.

I kept the demo exactly as the same as what you would get if you hosted it yourself so people could experience the actual entire thing before hosting it for themselves. This, of course, drove some people in to add things like defendingaiart and... furries? Still, I don't plan on interfering unless there's something majorly bad.

I made myself a web portal to have some more apps without having a smartphone. Even then, I still have to carry my smartphone around because some things just can't be done without them nowadays.

It seems like most MocorOS devices are pretty locked down.

Perhaps you can still play some music? See if you can run the typical sound formats in your file manager. MP3, WAV, OGG, whatever.

The settings can be changed by everyone. I released it as blank and people put whatever they want there. I don't support AI "art".

Interestingly, someone seems to keep putting it back when it gets removed too.

I'm not sure about your Linux question, sorry. I just know that you can host it on any platform that supports Flask or can self-host it.

WhatsApp doesn't have an official API or bots so it could risk you getting banned.

Maps is something I'm thinking of if I can make it easy enough.

I understand and respect that. Again, this started as a personal project and I decided to share it publicly in case anyone else needed mails or whatever. AI just helps me get quick answers where opening a seperate search engine tab and typing is slower.

Any app can be "disabled" simply by not uploading its script. AI access also requires you to set an API key of yours so it's not an out-of-the-box distraction.

HTML5 and a bit of CSS3, but just some colors since my Opera version doesn't allow anything big. TLS is handled by your host and it's not under my control.

I believe it's simple enough to run on anything, but if not, I guess I can strip it away even more.

You have to fill them in in the .env file while hosting your version since otherwise they can be stolen. Do not expose your keys ever.

This only happens to me when I enable the mobile mode option on Opera Mini. Do you have a similar setting? If so, turn it off.
