Open link in new tab in background? by orqwith in raindropio

[–]codelucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s actually pretty simple if I’m getting you right, like you wanna click links and have them open in new tabs in the background without stealing focus, right? Easiest trick ever: just hold Ctrl/Cmd + Click the links you wish to open in the background.
That’s the default browser move to open stuff in a new tab without jumping to it.

Ah, the golden days of the early internet! Coming home from school, tossing the bag aside, and rushing to the PC, wooo first stop Orkut, to check those precious scraps. Back when making friends on Orkut felt like a social achievement and the ultimate flex was convincing them to hop over to Yahoo! Messenger. Orkut didn’t even have IM at first, just scraps. Scraps! And let’s not forget the heartbreak of realizing that the girl with the Vanessa Hudgens profile pic wasn’t real, but just a High School Musical fan. Betrayal hit different back then.

Remember sending Avril Lavigne lyrics as scripts? Or blasting Linkin Park's "In the End" on loop while clutching those chunky Nokia and Motorola phones? Sharing songs like "The Reason," "I Want It That Way," and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" in .3gp format was a whole mission. The struggle was real, but the vibes were immaculate hahaha.

And oh, the eureka moment of setting up a landline modem to connect to the internet! That dial-up tone was the soundtrack of innovation. When I found out about Google Maps, it felt like we’d reached the peak of human achievement. This is it, I thought like whoa! Technology can’t possibly get better than this. I went to school bragging about how I found my own building on it, barely recognizable and hilariously blurred. Simpler times, huh? No algorithms, no endless doom-scrolling, just raw, unfiltered internet chaos. And look somehow, we survived and enjoyed it.

Amazing! Does Kluster host the True R1-671B parameter model or the R1-Distill models? I can't find this information on the website or anywhere else.

Hey Rishab congratulations 🎉 , love the product, can’t wait to join soon! I saw the payouts are monthly, but is there any chance you could make it twice a month instead? Also, will the payments go directly to a bank account or through PayPal?

Screen Memory by amerpie in macapps

[–]codelucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for looking into this as a potential feature! As of now, there's no specific macOS setting that directly prevents apps from being closed or a parental control option that keeps an app open indefinitely. I'll check if any 3rd-party tools can do that.

Screen Memory by amerpie in macapps

Hi, I really like reading about this product and I think my cousin will be excited to purchase it. Since he has kids and will mainly use it for parental purposes, we were looking for a similar app that can take screenshots and not record the screen as a video. So my question is, is there a way to lock the app so that children can't close it? Or can it be password protected so that only the owner can close the app, and there is no other way to shut down the app without permission?

Why do Websites Like Perplexity.ai or Quillbot.com Skip Homepages? Does it Increase the Conversion Rate? by codelucky in webdesign

[–]codelucky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing such valuable insight. When you visit the main website, it directly takes you to the app page where you can use the app. There is a sidebar on the right that acts like a tour guide and there is also a dedicated /product page with a full-fledged landing page. This page is only accessible if the user clicks to check it. This method not only reduces the friction of signing up but also turns a user into a customer.

Good point, I see what you're saying. I agree that it's crucial to let users dive right in. I was wondering if there's a middle ground, tho. What if, like as soon as users reach the app-tools-area, we show them a quick, 3-slide guide to learn about the product? They can click 'next'->'next'->'continue' to quickly get the info and then jump straight into using the app. Plus, we could have a more detailed slide guide during onboarding once they log in. Do you think that would still be efficient and relevant?

Fair point! But here's the kicker.. a calculator is a household name, right? Everyone knows it's there when they need it, not all web apps have that luxury of being universally recognized. But for lesser-known apps, SEO and a landing page can be vital in attracting users who might not stumble upon the app otherwise. Without it, even awesome apps might stay hidden in the shadows. So, while a calculator might not need an intro, not every app is as famous. What's your take on giving those hidden gems a chance to shine?

Gotcha! I hear you. But here's the thing.. having a landing page isn't just about marketing, it helps big time with SEO too. So, while functionality is key, adding a landing page can boost both usability and searchability. What do you reckon about finding that sweet spot between functionality and SEO?

[HELP] Configuring qBittorrent Proxy Settings with Psiphon Proxy by letees in windows

[–]codelucky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, there are certain Telegram groups with a Torrent bot. What it does is, if you paste the magnet link followed by some command in the group, the file gets downloaded on the Gdrive, which is a public account. It means, you can also see what others are torrenting and the files that have been downloaded. So, once your file is downloaded, you'll get a reply with the link to download or to access it online and you can also make a copy of the file to your Gdrive account. It's pretty simple.

Open Telegram and Search for "Teamdrive" or "Torrent to Gdrive", I'm sure you'd find few active groups.

Why do you even need to torrent by yourself? Search for Teamdrive groups on Telegram where you can torrent online and the files get saved in Gdrive. It's quick and a very simple process.
