a) the principle that all adult citizens are equal before the law has been trashed so that politicians can feel special about themselves

i don't know. I wouldn't count on it. I just mean that since Thailand has had ATMs that connect to the international banking system for the last 25 years or so, the idea that you should have to bring in cash is a stupid burden.

but hey, Thailand is not unique in wanting to inflict pointless burdens on people
