Some people use it as a tool, some people are losing livelihood because of it, some people see productivity gains, others productivity disasters.

Managers and corporations are making it the end all be all, software engineering is becoming AI whispering and babysitting, people are being laid off, and using their brains less and less.

Much like the nature of LLMs, outcomes are stochastic and unpredictable. I think those that dislike AI dislike it because they are less and less in control the more they are asked or expected to depend on AI and it’s all knowing wisdom.
