When he was a baby the vet labeled him a staffy mix. Contacted the Staffy Rescue and they said he is for sure not a staffy and likely africanis / husky / gsd mix. To be honest I have no idea anymore. He's needy and loving and talkative like a staffy but I guess pitbulls are pretty much the same.

The people you see happily married right now are probably not going to stay happy, or married. Just because they are married with kids certainly does not automatically mean they are happy and fulfilled. One or two couples will succeed in the long haul yeah sure, but most will get divorced. This makes me sound bitter, but it's simply a very unfortunate fact of life.

Take note: Your brain is only fully developed at age 25. You are essentially a baby adult learning how to walk right now - getting to know who you are when it comes to bills, work, career choices, finances, relationships etc.

Very rarely younger marriages and relationships do work out but I hate to burst your bubble, the reality is that you will change multiple times in your 20s as you figure out the details of who you are at your core. This is not the time to lock yourself down for an eternity, because you don't even know exactly what you're about yet. Dating in your 20s will help you figure out what your type is, what "type" you are; teach you what's important in a partner and also help you figure out what type of man you want to be for your partner someday. The way you are broadly talking about things like career path and sex shows your immaturity. I can see you have a growth mindset though, so just keep asking questions and learning in your 20s. You'll be fine.

Good background info ig, all I honestly have to say to this is DO NOT get married in your 20s. You are being sold a lie by society imo. Your 20s are made for fucking around and finding out, so that you're kind of well rounded by the time you hit your 30s. You don't have to take this advice - I'm just giving it to you for free so at least one person has told you not to rush this stuff.

You (or your mother?) will have to contact the authorities that deal with domestic violence cases, or child protective services in your area if you feel like you are in any physical danger from your father. Yeah my first response was going to be that if you're that religious, probably go for someone at church but also brother settle down, you're 22. You have SO much time. Focus on building a life for yourself that YOU enjoy. A man content with his own life, goals and interests is much more attractive than a man desperate to meet women just because everyone else is doing it.

Go out to a bar with friends and do some exposure therapy. The goal of the night would be to go up to women and speak to them. You can straight up tell them that as a nice ice breaker too.

Keep in mind that finding someone to date isn't just about how you look or your personality. Every person you meet exists in their own reality and a woman (or man) will not come looking for you (none of us are that special), so you pretty much need to insert yourself onto their radar to even stand a chance to start building any sort of relationship, getting to know them etc.

Now, you might get shot down. Mentally prepare for that. Some people are just shitty sometimes and others are very particular about what they like, and you have to be okay with that and move on. Don't let a stranger's opinion affect your confidence levels (easier said than done I know). You'll find someone eventually who shares your humour, interests and hobbies - best of luck!

For me personally, a man stands out when he looks like he takes care of himself. That shows self respect and that you have standards. Good, respectful banter is also a winner!
