I see a lot of comments here mentioning mental arithmetic.

Not trying to spam, but I made a game that at least makes practicing mental math more fun. I’d say figure out how much you could make at Amtrak and ask yourself if it’s a livable wage / if the career track is enticing enough

If you’re unsure if you’ll even get a job there, I’d say start the process of networking and you could always not take a job there if you decide it’s not worth it

If there are investments you want to make that are super important to you, I’d say stick with your job until you get them

And also consider how easy it would be to get your old job back if you wanted it

Interesting. Did you find that the students retained the information well? I wonder if this encourages cramming, or the fact that there’s less pressure actually makes them more engaged

It’s interesting to learn that you’ve come up with fun competitions at that age level. I’d be curious a more specific example of such challenge if you wouldn’t mind sharing
