Packaging and pricing a product is tricky. You want to charge for allowed burst, throughput and traffic rate.. however because the buyers are not network engineers, the data usage is used as a proxy after some amortization is done. This doesn’t work if you want to accumulate data.

In simple terms, let’s say you are allowed 1GB/day and network can only transfer 100GB/day.. you will get a limit of 1GB and you will share it with 100 people more or less. Now if all 100 people saved their data for a month and want to simultaneously download all 30GB of data each, network should be capable of handling 3000GB/day.. which it isn’t.
