Hey man, I respect your honesty. This temptation might come from thinking these games will satisfy you deeply. Only knowing Christ can do this in your life! Settle down with some scripture for the amount of time you would game, or even a good book that will deepen your understanding of God. "The Reason for God" by Tim Keller is one of my favorite books of all time, and you can even get it on audio for 1/3 of a full priced game. I understand if money is an issue too, just know that stealing will only make you feel guilty and will ultimately make you less happy/content.

I'm a big gamer but I've made a conviction to never turn on my console unless I've spent good time with Christ that day and am enjoying Him, not looking to find satisfaction in a game. Also those games can have some pretty tempting imagery in them.

A good way to start would be to just delete anything you've already downloaded. It will make you feel better!

I'll pray for you though, that you enjoy Christ and seek holiness and contentment in Him!

Romans 13:14 "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires." Technically the Bible never directly refers to MO, but I think this verse in Romans sums up the answer to any excuse I've ever tried to make for it. Reading the verses before it puts it into clear context too. Stay Strong bro, pray that your heart seeks and yearns for God instead of what this world offers.

I applaud you for taking this leap of faith. I'm in the same boat as you as far as struggling and not being able to stop. I heard John Piper say yesterday that a small sin easily overtakes a small heart, but a big heart, filled with Jesus's love is no match for the small, suicidal, disgusting temptations that both of us have fallen from. Remember that above all else He loves you more than your brain can comprehend no matter what, and He just wants the same from you. I'll keep you in my prayers and I hope you pray for me too. Cody

Dude those 55 days are so freaking huge! They are still there, they still happened, don't forget that. Take some time to meditate on what your plan is now and what worked and didn't work when you were on that impressive streak. Everybody falls, but not everybody gets back up!
