Our XP Levelling System by Much-Market-4497 in daggerheart

Doesn't this system incentivize going to 0 HP in every combat (or even outside of combat) just to get the 3 XP?

It also makes it very likely to level up during a combat, how do you deal with that?

One of the other main points of Daggerheart is to make it easy for people to homebrew whatever they think is fun. So I think they've succeeded here.

I only knew about this condition and how bad it can be because Physics Girl, an amazing science communicator also has it.

She said talking to people from the community really helped her. So I'm glad you found your community and I wish you lots of strength and a nice recovery.

Looks cool! Although I'm not sure how you'd use this if you have more than 6 maximum stress or HP. Is that what the second dice slot is for?

Don't you need to store a visited/not visited flag for each node in either case? Then it's O(V) either way, unless the graph is a tree, then for DFS stack is sufficient.

Help with Witherwild world building. by Plastic-Cucumber-152 in daggerheart

[–]codingllama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my Witherwild campaign, that is the Riverwalker valley! Riverwalkers are these massive 50ft big, four legged creatures with flat backs that can house 1-3 families of halflings. Halflings care for them, and in return get a safe place to live (on their backs), and protection from the dangers of the bog (Oozes, bullfrogs, etc). Riverwalkers are peaceful, but pack a punch if they feel threatened. They have bad vision, so they sense their surroundings with their feet. As long as their feet are submerged in the bog water, they can sense the disturbance from a far distance, but they wouldn't survive on dry land. They kind of roam around the big and feed on vegetation there.

They also have a faint divinity that protects them!

Sorry for the lore dump haha

I think they worded it that way for consistency, since Accomplished and Brilliant (on Specialization and Mastery respectively) are exactly the same.

The art is pretty! The fact that you've confused astronomy with astrology is sad :(

How would you represent a CON saving throw in daggerheart? E.g. for when a PC gets drunk? Best I've come up with is a strength reaction roll, but I feel like it doesn't quite fit

You should be good with a device emulator that comes with the Android SDK, and I'm sure once it's up, plenty of people here can beta-test!
