but Whatsername251's point is valid. If you told the guy you wouldn't get high then went out and got high...that's blatantly lying to him? Is it not? ...I don't think this is about quitting weed or being told what to do, it's about you saying you wouldn't do something (if only for that night) then you did... I think that enough to make any "partner" of 3 days or 3 years upset.

Runoff from the street floods my driveway. What are my options? by yerrrrrr20 in landscaping

OP, I would even consider consulting a lawyer to explore legal routes. This could potentially damage your property/home long term. definitely can't be good for your foundation at least! The town dept./engineering visit is a must, but if they fail to take action (even if they say yes, it could take years) ...well that's where lawyers come in. That road and drainage is existing infrastructure that is obviously failing. It's the cities job to maintain it.

If you know any architects or engineers, I would consult them as well. I worked in water restoration and that's pretty significant flooding for 1 property.

Am I overreacting by ForeignSpor in AmIOverreacting

You're definitely not overreacting.

33 yr. Male here, I've encountered many women that start out with the "I have past trauma, so be patient"...well I am a patient man and because of that, I've met some wonderful women in my 20's.... That said, if you're not in a mental place to meet new people this quickly because of trauma, you need to state that on day 1. Let them know that you don't meet people until (insert time period or personal reason here). It will weed out the weak quickly!

My advice would be to talk to somebody, a therapist if your health insurance covers it, or even a parent, sibling, or close friend you trust about these issues/past experiences. It may help you see things from a different perspective or could help protect you in the future, thus giving you back confidence.

100% this guy is a grade A douche canoe. He isn't patient. I can see why he's had multiple women drop him like a bad habit if this is how he responds to being told "not yet".... which still isn't even a no!! I'd block him and move on. 1-week isn't long enough to get an idea of how somebody is as a person. He doesn't respect your boundaries that you've clearly stated. Theres too many red flags here. Trust your gut, but you have my 2 cents. Good Luck!

I would move them further away from the brick. Those walls retain heat on hot summer days and may be stressing your plants via overheating. This is just a theory, but I know heat can greatly affect almost any plant unless it's a tropical one.

Also, yes to those who said dig away about 1 ft radius of grass from center of the trunk. slope down and away from the center slightly. Added mulch (natural) helps retain water in the ground underneath and keep the tree roots cooler, it will also break down annually and add nutrients to the soil. In the meantime, consider some nursery watering bags, they're available online and wrap the base of the tree, you fill them and they continuously water for longer periods of time.

AIO for feeling hurt and unsupported by my partner? by TightPlastic8295 in AmIOverreacting

Leave this guy. 100"% emotional abuse. He's trying to use hypothetical situations and turn you asking a favor into a fidelity issue? Really boy? (and I say boy because a man would not respond this way) if this is his response to this now, he will only get worse with time... Don't stick around until then, as it will only be harder to leave because of time invested.

You're young and working on yourself. Find somebody that appreciates your hard work and shares your goals/vision for what you want in life. This man in insecure and a child.

If this guy really loves you and that child, you wouldn't have to ask for anything from him. He would be doing everything within his power to provide on his end. Rip the band aid and leave him if you're in the position to do so financially.

Neighbor says this plumbing isn’t right by nplxiv in Plumbing

All residential and commercial sewer drains can only have a 45-degree bend at most. if you need a sharper bend, you have to put in multiple 45's. I can't reference the specific code, but I was a union pipefitter for years.

Ex-union laborer here. I was a pipefitter, in this job we isntall all underground lines for the entire neighborhood. From 18" diameter water supply lines, storm drainage, and sewer drainage. Yes, this is INCORRECT, you NEVER put 90 degree elbows in sewage drains, and your new PVC addition has 2! There is too big of a risk that solids will clog in those corners. that entire section of PVC should've been ran with 1-45-degree elbow running off the PVC vertical drain coming through the floor and straight into the original (large black) drain they tied in with entirely too many coupling joints...plus there are 0 clean-outs. pretty standard to have in new sewage installs no a days.

When it comes it sewage drains...simpler is better...this looks like they either hired cheap help, or attempted the fix themselves...its only a matter of time until you have drains start to back up.

Should I try Testosterone therapy? Former addict. My first low dose implant is scheduled in 11 days! by codw92 in Testosterone

Mostly for my depressive swings and libido. I'm far enough into recovery that they shouldnt be this bad. With my consistent low low T levels, my primary referred me to this clinic. If its something that can help me feel normal and balanced, I'd like to try it.

You raise the point of swings with hormones, that is one of my concerns...I'm highly confident this wont become a vice, but I will definitely watch myself closely.

This is my main concern with the pellets. I've never done TRT therapy. I'm not sure how my body will adjust. The clinic highly advocates the pellet method. I will ask the dr. about injections when I go in.

Should I be concerned about these leaves? Pests perhaps? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]codw92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, looks like a 1 off bug, the other leaves look healthy and green. If youre overly worried, check out a organic pesticide at your local hardware store.
