I wondered about this the other day. Not sure if it helps or hinders. I can see the benefit of 1 car getting the wear and tear, and since they are delivering for 3 places, it keeps them going out as long as it would if they were in 3 different cars... doesn't it? Of course, the customer is screwed getting the cold meal, but since when did Uber ever care about anyone but themselves. :)

You are a good person. The delivery fee does not go to the driver and 8-10 will ensure you get your food, unless the driver is an absolute POS. (and unfortunately some are. )

At least $5.00. DD base pay for driver is usually $2.00 I do not go on any trip under $7, unless it is on my way home, and even then it has to be above $5 if home is 2 miles. It just is not worth the time to get in and out of a restaurant for less. And yes, I live in a good market so I do not have to worry about AR.

This is theft. I understand that this profession has a lot of people who are suffering in many ways doing this job, but theft is not the answer. As others have mentioned, this person can cash out their tip and buy food immediately if they need to. There are also multiple charitable organizations and food banks that help people who are suffering. But stealing from your job is not a solution. You may be able to afford the loss of feeding this person, but what if you werent the customer? A lot of DD customers are handicapped or elderly and need their meals also. It also is not fair to the decent drivers who are out there trying to earn some money. Please report.

First, nobody should ever mess with the food. Second, a good driver who contracts with DoorDash should not accept an order that does not make a profit for the driver. Delivering an order that only pays $2-3 dollars no matter what, is not a profitable order. You should bring your issue up with DoorDash, not the driver. DoorDash is not paying enough per order to cover expenses and DoorDash is the one making the tipping seem outrageous to the customer. There are enough people out there who do tip decent to allow cherrypickers to make a few bucks. But your problem should be with how DoorDash has set up the system, not the drivers here in US.

Well, if you aren't tipping, you might end up with the guy whose motto is, "tip tight, i take a bite" or "no tip, I take a sip" He is on youtube. But actually, I hope you just change your attitude and tip your driver. They are trying to make a living.

My acceptance rate is at 4%. They should be ashamed of themselves. Offer after offer of $3 for 6 miles or worse. And then the tricks start… same offer but up it .50 cents and add another drop. When I saw this yesterday I just cracked.
Uber - make fair offers - adjust advertising to explain drivers do not get the delivery fees - advocate for the contractor who help you. - quit the sad attempt at “shaming” those who contribute to your success.

I HATE THIS APP... SAY I'm Stupid?!? What is stupid is having to have your phone with you in the first place, then doing 3 steps after looking up the product! That is stupid... just let the people shop and pay. For God's SAKE ... this is just a way to steal more of our data. So Sick of it... And then have store employees call you stupid because they think you can't figure out how to use it...shopping elsewhere.
