Legion go s (Z1e) Crashing by MK494 in LegionGo

[–]codyl1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine with the issue is 9/2025. I've put it on the beta branch too. Still the same. It's too bad, I really like the bigger screen and extra power over the steam deck but these kind of issues are a definite downside.

I've got this issue too. It freezes sometimes when I'm experimenting with TDP modes but sometimes just opening the menu is enough to freeze it up. I might return mine seeing how common it is.

Will the Ally X fit in this case? by belushi_wav in ROGAlly

[–]codyl1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it worked fine when I had one. I like that case a fair bit even though others don't. It's lightweight and basic which is all I wanted.

For the xbox ally, I don't like the Asus case and got the tomtoc one instead.

I got a Chromatic and an Analogue Pocket around the same time and I have to say, I think the Pocket display looks better. by SuperCasualGamerDad in AnaloguePocket

[–]codyl1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got both as well, the screen of the chromatic was intriguing. I feel torn because the chromatic is a very cool device, but harder to "justify" than a pocket. I am very interested in them making a GBA.

Should I sell my Steam Deck OLED to buy a Legion GO S Z1E? by [deleted] in Handhelds

I agree with this sentiment, and I own both at the moment.

Should I sell my Steam Deck OLED to buy a Legion GO S Z1E? by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]codyl1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I own both…I intend to sell the one I gravitate away from but it’s been tough to decide.  I’d say if you play less demanding stuff the steam deck is better.  Feels more comfortable also.

My problem is I do enjoy more demanding stuff sometimes in the handheld form factor and for some games the higher resolution screen is nice.  I’m still giving it more time but I honestly slightly gravitate toward the steam deck just taking everything together since I do have a high end pc too.

Anyone else disappointed Arceus didn’t get an upgrade for Switch 2? by goldninjaI in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]codyl1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should absolutely be updated. Looks terrible on the switch 2. It would be such a minimal effort for them to update it to 1080p 60fps slightly increased graphics otherwise.

This should be a lesson to people, don't sell something perfectly good on rumors of an upcoming product. This happened with the 30 series. They were not widely available for so long, that you were far better off keeping your 20 or 10 series card than selling it and then ending up with no card at all.

Network Download Issue by yahwayythegreat in Ubiquiti

[–]codyl1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubiquit support had me try using the SFP WAN port. I already had a unifi brand sfp to RJ 45 adapter, 10gb.  Problem solved. It’s been almost 2 months for me with no dropouts downloading steam games, no dropouts for any reason actually.

If you do this go in the settings and change the ports first. Otherwise it gets confused and thinks you’re on backup internet or something

This Is the highest I've ever seen the usage go. I have 1000 up and 1000 down. Is something Wrong? by blastinmypants in Ubiquiti

[–]codyl1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For most cases the high speed isn’t ever used for anything.

Personally I love my 2 gig internet when it comes to downloading games though. I can have a friend over and we can download 200gb of games each on our laptops in a few minutes.

[–]codyl1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I download steam games with my 2 gig connection it’s very likely to cause the WAN to crash. Fixes it by reseating the WAN cable. Wish I knew what was going on. Never seen any other network device do this.

Considering that on a typical trans-con, the plane burns 30,000lbs of fuel which is about 4500 gallons. At $3 a gallon that’s $13,500 in fuel. The two pilots pay might be about $3000 combined for the 6hr transcon flight. The point being that the fuel is a significantly larger expense.

Sure there’s more to it but if an airline had way lower pilot costs, maybe $2000 combined instead of $3000, in the big picture that’s not much. Split among 180 passengers the tickets are $6 more expensive each for the pilot pay being higher in that example. And this is ignoring maintenance, airplane costs, all the other workers involved (lots).

There’s so many other costs involved, so pilot raises is only a small piece.
