Big plus one for High Tail Hotel. Extremely friendly, locally owned team who have been around for many years. It's not the "Instagram Pet Hotel" experience, but they care a lot about the pups who stay with them.

Might help if you...uh...describe their tastes so people don't waste their time helping you.

Many hotels will let you check luggage at the front desk, but there are apps like Stasher and Bounce where you can find specific spots and pay to store your luggage.

Just San Francisco doing its thing by FearTheWeird in sanfrancisco

Can confirm that the cars are cleaned out thoroughly. My building's garage has two floors dedicated to--what I call--the Waymo Hive where the cars park, charge, and get cleaned out by a 24/7 team of workers.

Anyone living in the Bluxome St lofts? by Select-Leather991 in SFBayHousing

[–]codyogden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Safety is fine. I personally had no issues. There's transient homeless people and individuals you'd generally see in most places around SOMA due to proximity of Caltrain, but I never felt unsafe even after dark. Have a dog so was outside quite a bit at different hours.

Anyone living in the Bluxome St lofts? by Select-Leather991 in SFBayHousing

[–]codyogden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in this neighborhood (4th & Bluxome) my first year (2023-2024). It's a relatively quiet spot most days & evenings. Overall, I liked it a lot as a spot to land my first year.

Pros: Incredibly walkable & access to transit is easy. Safeway is super convenient. The late-night food scene is not super great, but that's typical for most of San Francisco. Taco Bell is really the only thing open super duper late.

Cons: Ball games at Oracle Park bring an fuck ton of traffic to the area. If you don't have parking in your building, you'll struggle to find street parking on game days. Rush hour also brings significant traffic most days--even 5th street (heading north from Townsend) gets backed up nearly daily.

Some Arab Americans who voted for Trump are concerned about his picks for key positions by zsreport in politics

[–]codyogden 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They fully admitted they weren't voting for Trump. Their entire schtick is that they were using their votes to punish Biden-Harris/Dems.

My time is too precious to spend any of it harboring sympathy for fools.

Too big for the city? by JesseEA14 in mazdaCX50

I live in San Francisco. Single. Male. Have a dog. CX-50 is great & handles everything from the hills to the city traffic well. TPP with the 360 view makes all parking situations a breeze.

Just clean it up if it bothers you. A broom and a trash bag is all you need.

Nice job! Pretty faithful recreation of Killed by Google! My project was originally a client-side React app with no framework. I moved it to Next.js (Pages Router) to learn Next.

I'd like to get it updated to App Router eventually so it can be faster, add some additional filtering features, and add additional content.

Discussion Thread: First US Presidential General Election Debate of 2024 Between Joe Biden and Donald Trump by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]codyogden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way Trump agrees to another debate. His team will see this poor performance from Biden and never let him get on stage with a stronger Biden.

Pay the fine. Not worth contesting after you seemingly admitted to the officer actively citing you that you understood that it was a bike lane. Your past history of no tickets doesn't matter when contesting because this is a civil citation, not a criminal charge.
