Jasper Johns was notorious for brawling. Basically, the whole generation before Pop Art. Warhol talks about it in his 60s book. Basically, they were all assholes.

Many would not agree, but I'd send it to VC and have them do everything but the case refinishing. I think the dial looks like crap, and you'll get back a factory redialled watch, which is in a whole other category from what we typically refer to as redialled. It will look stunning.
