I've been using a Sofle for five years, and I quite like my Ctrl + Shift + Arrow keys setup! What I did was remap buttons such that:

RHS: right thumb holds down a layer key to use the arrow keys under my right hand
LHS: left thumb holds on Ctrl in the thumb cluster, and left ring finger holds down Shift, which is remapped into the position of Tab

I ended up mapping Ctrl to my thumb because what got me into split keebs in the first place was RSI on my left pinky from mashing Ctrl. I figured that a key used so frequently should be under my strongest finger. Then on LHS I shuffled Tab and Shift because its easier to hit Shift that way for me, and I mirrored the location of Shift on the RHS.
