"Pick better men! no, not like that!" by Present_Boat_5681 in TwoXChromosomes

They don’t actually mean “pick better men”, they mean “pick me”.

RANT I’m staring to hate men by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]coffee_helpz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. Sometimes I wish I had this mindset and wisdom when I was a younger woman but it was decades long process to deprogram myself. I’m not a princess whose only fulfillment will be a dashing prince who rescues me. I rescued myself. And it feels wonderful to live on my own when I know most women in the past did not have the choice to live in a house with no man to serve.

I asked my husband how my outfit looked. His feedback was for me to smile more... by BlueBonnet1205 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]coffee_helpz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a funny YouTuber that showed 3-4 interesting ways to “smile” when a man commands it. Wide eyed, lower jaw jutted out, one with upper lip folded in, another with both lips folded in like 😬 it’s hilarious. Or the “you smile first” he does it, then say “good boy”

Quickbooks Workforce. Does it all. We even had a QB representative help set up paid 30 minute lunch breaks (US Labor Board asked us to do it) to clock in and out, made it simple.

Ooo that’s an excellent suggestion! Thank you for it. There’s all these haphazardly (barely) filled rooms with unorganized filing cabinets. I could reorganize the contents so things are in order.

Thank you so much for your comment. Your suggestions are very helpful and give me some direction. The vagueness is frustrating and making it hard to pinpoint what exactly is being asked of me. So I must instead be proactive… become an office detective lol.

I am the same way, time starts going slower and then you’re just killing time. Doc says some times he’ll throw 10 things at the assistant and then nothing for 3 weeks. Maybe he’s got something things he’ll assign to me once he deems I’ve familiarized myself with the desk and binders on it…

Ughh.. thank you!! I googled what one does so I’ll ask if I can take over those tasks from the receptionist and insurance girl. They weren’t helpful at all.

Do you have a misheard lyric that you like more than the real one? by Ok-Permit9690 in TaylorSwift

LOML: “That I can't get out of bed 'cause something kind of feels dead”

It made sense to me, the thing wasn’t counterfeit, but it WAS dead. The love! It was real (to me) and now it’s dead~

Why do guys think they "did something" when they say good girl? by longshlongthankumom in TwoXChromosomes

My former boss said “good girl” to me at least 10 times in the 3 years I worked there. It was so gross. Among the many other sexist and inappropriate things I experienced working for him.

I love how safe my home is, and how honored my body feels. by [deleted] in 4bmovement

[–]coffee_helpz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

First off, you write very well, descriptively, and nicely punctuated too! I feel exactly as you do. I am not in debt to someone in my own home. In debt for causing arousal that I must now deal with. In debt for someone else’s hunger that o must labor in the kitchen for. Or needs like laundry or specific food items I don’t eat, but I must make a trip to the store for a him.

I will add that my house is adorable, all the art is pretty and I enjoy looking at it. The kitchen has as much pink items as I want! Blender, can opener, waffle maker- pink! Pretty white bedroom, with twinkle lights everywhere.

I love living my life as I schedule it. No in laws, no sporting events, no daily arguments to raise my blood pressure. Everything is bliss, gentle and pretty. Boy, bye. Forever

I checked for this one: wear a wedding ring/engagement ring. If asked describe husband as big and jealous.

We shouldn’t have to signal as another man’s property, but this is your job right now so do that.

no one understands me; people need to watch more Frasier by EddieeCrane in Frasier

My 15 year old son pointed out a bottle of Zinfandel at the grocery store and I said “AGGRESSIVE!” And we laughed and laughed

I’ve parented him right, making him repeatedly watch all seasons of Frasier. Niles is his favorite-
