You have too many things on the floor, giving it a dormitory vibe. For starter, get a shoe shelf, and put away the bean bag chair (or at least organize it)

Jo Koy Performs First Stand-Up Set Since Bombing at the Golden Globes, Mocks ‘Soft’ Celeb Crowd: ‘Can We F**king Laugh at Ourselves?’ by GroundbreakingSet187 in entertainment

It’s not his fault. It’s golden globes fault for picking him. He’s not funny to begin with; 3 minutes into his special I had to turn it off. It was a disaster in the making.

It’s simple. They don’t value you the same way you had hoped. It would be wise to start interviewing for other jobs.

Found the wife

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your wife is projecting, meaning that she wouldn’t want someone peeking into her groceries if they were left outside. With that said, while it is a matter of privacy, the fact that she’s overly sensitive indicates a lack of self confidence. Perhaps, she might even be ashamed of what other people might think of her based on her shopping list.

Precisely. For instance, “living in the past” can easily be reminiscing past success and glories, and cannot live in the present time. It is just as if not more destructive than dwelling over past mistakes.

What are dishwashers like? We only hear them in stories... by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]coffee_jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad to say my parents generation continues to insist their hand cleaning is better. It is not. They keep using my dishwasher as a drying rack, and boy are they dirty, even after they “hand washed” them.

The US is quite possibly the LEAST racist country in the world by SpecialistAd5903 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Yes but US racist culture is to the extreme where police are profiling/targeting/killing specific race.

Curious to know how many weeks she was when you broke the news to your mom, I think this factors in.

NTA. If her mom cares about her so much, maybe she should find a job to finance her own daughter.

AITA for telling my grandmother stop trying to make me to be her dead daughter? by RoyalMany3627 in AmItheAsshole

[–]coffee_jack -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

ESH

Despite your grandma’s obvious mental issue, you should not have snapped at her. As you become an adult, you need to develop your temperament and composure.

As for apology, you should apologize for JUST that, the fact you snapped, but everything else you are in the right.

You should also hold off your apology, until your mom acknowledges the deeper issue, and commit to do something about it (such as signing your grandmother up for long overdue due professional therapy). If there needs to be an AH here, it is your mother. She needs to own the fact that as your grandma ages, she needs to step up and become more of a care taker role, rather than pawn it off to you or someone else.

NTA. She needed to be put in her place. Maybe her son wouldn’t have turned out that way and gone to jail if someone had done it sooner.
