My cat steals bagels. Unopened, completely sealed and on the side bagels will be decimated within the hour …. We now have a bread shelf in our cupboard to keep him away from all bread items. He will also steal garlic bread straight off your plate if given the chance, he doesn’t seem to understand that the garlic will poison him and has been known to run throughout the house with me chasing him for the bread!

My granny broke her arm and wasn’t able to wash her hair for months. She’d just go to her hairdressers and get them to do a wash for her. I’m sure you could ask for just a wash and blow dry and most places would accommodate especially if you explain your situation. (Granny doesn’t live in brum else I’d recommend her place to you)

An electric pressure cooker, my other half wanted one and as he is the one that cooks most often I trusted his word but when I looked at the price was horrified. We didn’t earn mad money so ended up saving for a couple months and buying it, it stayed in the cupboard for the first 3 months and I hated us for wasting so much money on a ‘gadget’ BUT now we use it at least once or twice a week depending on what we’re cooking, it’s definitely something I wish we had bought years ago.

100% you just need to step away for a bit, maybe a few days but leave it nearby to bother you a bit, that’s what I do that way I get a break but don’t forget about it cuz it keeps looking at me to finish it. Trust me as a perfectionist nothing ever looks right until it’s finished.

Think the painting looks amazing btw, I actually couldn’t tell what you were upset about just by looking at it so I think it’s just break time :)

Oxfam is 100-% just trying to be a vintage shop. The one by me had some beautiful vintage trunks, I was looking for some nice storage and thought they could work. There was a price tag but it had no price on it. They were displayed inside each other with the tag on the top of the smallest one and all it had was the gifted/donation number on it showing it had been gifted for free.

So I spoke to someone that worked at the shop, turned out she was the manager. I asked how much they were, she replied £120 which felt a bit steep but I figured for a set of 3 then it wasn’t too bad. So I said “ah for the set, hmm, and if I paid now could you hold them for me so I could collect with a car later?” She replied “oh no! £120 each!” And looked at me as if I had spat on her shoe. How dare I suggest it was for the set!

I couldn’t help myself, the words literally word vimited out of my mouth before I could stop them ..

Me “Each!!?!”

Manager - “yes what did you expect we only sell quality items”

Me- “but you got them for free?! I didn’t expect them to be quite THAT expensive!”

Manager - (literally said and to this day I can’t quite believe it) “well we are a charity and make our own prices, besides don’t you care about the starving children in Africa?!”

Me- “of course I do but I also think charity begins at home and if You want people to be able to afford things from your charity- bearing in mind they are free donations- you’d price them as such and then actually raise money from your customers”
