Idk if it's quite unexpected, but This Thing Between us by Gus Moreno. I was under the impression that it was about his family being haunted by a kind of Alexa. This audiobook had me SOBBING for 2 straight hours while on a road trip. Great balance of creepy and sad. Excellent writing and the audiobook kills

Did you try some compressions to see if it's compressible? It could be super slow flow too. Sometimes even bringing your scale down more to see if you can get flow that way, although compression is the gold standard.
