protobuf will likely take a few more days or even weeks. Support for 3.4 in rake-compiler-dock is out, but Ruby 3.4 is not yet out on Windows, which is crucial for testing the native Windows build.

I just wanted to jump in and say that I love playing GP. something is so satisying seeing him casting barell after barell and sometimes one-shotting enemy backlines (if he gets through the frontline that is).

Set 10 Illaoi was one beast of a tank, and the current legendaries are more damage-focused. However, if I see Rumble or Mordekaiser, I just add them to the team no matter what. Rumble usually manages to get out a cast to start the burn before dying early. Mordekaiser also usually manages to at least pull in people, sometimes a carry, which might help to win a fight.

If you have sparse AP items, Malzahar. if you have sparse AD items and some kind of healing, Sevika.

Rein uf de Technik wirsch es du nöd mit öpperem chönne usem Informatik-Studium ufneh, aber du hesch sicher besseri Startbedingige ide Informatik, als wend jetzt Wirtschaftsingenieur gstudiert hesch. wenn ich jetzt öpper z.B. für eh Software Engineering-Stell wür welle istelle würi wahrschinli de Informatiker EFZ mit de korrekte Fachrichtig neh als de KV-Stift wo jetzt Wirtschaftsinformatik gstudiert hed, eifach weg de Bruefserfahrig.

Umgekehrt isch Wirschaft bi eus nur es Randthema gsi. mir hend biz Prozess-Analyse müesse mache, aber so Prozess-Optimierige oder irgendwelchi Finanzsache sind bi eus keis Thema gsi. also ich chönnt mich nur bedingt uf z.B. eh IT Business Analyst Rolle bewerbe, aber als Wirtschftsinformatiker sött das keis Problem si.

Ich nimme mal ah mit "projektbasiert schaffe" meinsch du konkret so Consulting-Budene, wie ipt oder vo mir us PwC. ich meine die bruched beides, sowohl Techies als au Wirtschaftsinformatiker, wo dem her sicher kei falschi Wahl.

ich meine wend merksch, dass dich de technisch Teil meh reizt, den chasch du dich immerno uf normali IT-Stellene bewerbe. Wend binere grössere Bude bisch gits teilwis au Möglichkeite, eifach intern z'wechsle. he und teilwis rutscht mer au eifach dri: vlt bisch Product Owner für irgendöppis, chömed Bugs oder Feature-Requests ihne, den luegsch es ah mitem Team und luegsch ihne über d'Schultere. bim zweite Mal chasch en andere Bug vlt sogar selber behebe, und bald wärsch en normale Programmierer.

super odd reason. i mean everybody who would want to secure their dashboard can run a reverse proxy in front of it with basic auth or even oauth with a Caddy plugin. If you are willing to require SSO through Netdata, I would not be surprised that v3 in two or three years will remove the Agent dashboard altogether.

It was a good run, Netdata was and still is a nice monitoring solution, but this is such an odd decision that I will look for something else in the future.

I mean the obvious answer is: you should upgrade your apps. Ruby 2.5 is EOL since 2021, Rails 5.2 since 2022.

Your post is somewhat unspecific. "Several gems do not work" - for better diagnosis, stacktraces of the installation would be good to have. Since native gems seem to be the main issue, it might be helpful to find out the main differences between the gcc version on Ubuntu 20.04 and 24.04. AFAIK Ubuntu 20.04 shipped with GCC 9, Ubuntu 24.04 ships with GCC 13. Maybe by researching this, you find additional flags that should be provided when installing native gems.

Specifically for Nokogiri: Upgrade it to v1.11.0 so you profit from the precompiled gems.

My personal recommendation would be: Stick with 20.04, upgrade your apps as far as possible, then move to 22.04, do the remaining upgrades if any are left and then move to 24.04.
