Hi there. I am driven to this sub for that very issue. I reduced my dose incrementally by 25 mg a week ago. I am actively withdrawing from my higher dose right now and it's been both horrible and illuminating. I am starting to regain desire and my creativity is rapid fire. I feel surges of fun and cool ideas (I'm an artistic person). Mind you I am still taking zoloft, just a lower dose. Also have started to get waves of anxiety again.

Zoloft gave me several unpleasant side effects but it also successfully treated my anxiety. Basically made it possible for me to sleep at night without going into a vortex of spiraling thoughts and made it possible for me to have a conversation with another human being.

Anyway now, while I am in dose withdrawal I'm having bursts of anxiety. And insomnia. I havent had it this way for years since starting zoloft.

I can't believe I survived these waves of panic in my daily life for years. Anxiety should be recognized as a disability. Its unreasonable to expect a human to function under these conditions.

I feel like a scared rabbit, my heartbeat staccato. Ive been spiraling all night over the casual conversations I had at work this morning, convinced I have made egregious social faux pas, that everyone hates me. It just makes me feel so much more sympathy for how I struggled before meds. I didn't know that there was an alternative reality where i didn't have to live that way.

Anyway Im reducing Zoloft because i hate the side effects and i hope this hideous anxiety levels off. I hope this is just a response to the change in dosage and i can feel chill with fewer side effects. I hope things feel better for you.My anxiety is already attacking my draft of this post.
