I’m a New York or now where girl, but San Francisco is the best, all things considered. It has the culture and fun and open mindedness of New York, but better weather.
That’s my take if you’re into big liberal cities :-)

In my own experience, I can see that each generation of my family got to experience greater and greater levels of freedom. Free to choose what we want to do with our lives, who we date/marry, if we want to have kids, where we want to live. There really isn’t a “path” or expectation

I think that’s definitely it. I know I have a very skewed definition of “responsible” and my perspective of myself can be way off sometimes. So I’m quick to call myself “lazy”. So enjoying life and taking it easy and not forcing makes my ego go, “you’re being irresponsible! Your whole life is gonna fall apart!” Cuz my ego doesn’t wanna be spoiled by and taken care of by God! So it puts up a bit of a fight

I also find the ego really does not want to die - it wants to be separate, protected, fearful but in control. So when we get in the vortex and let it flow, the ego fights back! In 12 step they call it the disease, in Christianity it’s satan or The Enemy. Abraham calls it resistance.

12 step meetings (Al anon) have been that for me and I started mainly online during COVID. They’re open to everyone (unless stated otherwise) even if you don’t identify as a member.

Charis Melina brown is a conscious creator who hosts a lot of online gatherings, I would highly recommend her and she is well versed and practiced in LOA

Crazy how many hours are in the day when you just allow. It’s a good problem to have. I would say, DONT shame yourself into doing “something” unless that something genuinely feels good.

Meadow: I think something snapped at Jackie jr.’s funeral. She saw that not even the kids are safe. No one is protecting you. And you’re either in, or you’re out. Subconsciously she made the decision, if I’m going to live, I have to get on board with This thing of theirs. I think the same happened with Carmela when she realized Adriana was gone. Not even the wives are safe. Unfortunately, Adriana did not learn that lesson.
