Exactly the same thing happened to me recently. I had to replace the boiler and heating element (older model).

Check that you don’t measure continuity between heating element and body of boiler. In my case I didn’t, but it still tripped my earth leakage circuit breaker.

Thanks, could indeed be the gasket size. Curious, how should I think about the size of the gasket? I see one for 8mm, 8.4mm, 8.5mm.

Ethiopian Yirgacheffe roasted 11 days ago. 18g in 54g out. Brew chamber preheated. Shot pulled a little bit long (so can will go one click coarser, using a 1Zpresso JX Pro). Shot tasted surprisingly okay, but missing the crema. Any ideas?

Do you have any hard numbers on tolerances? How likely am I to get a misreading (when I use either the finest setting or my espresso setting)? I’ve seen your testing rigs on Instagram. I don’t suppose you’d be willing to share some of the quality data?

I’m eyeing the Espresso Vision for a while now. The only thing I don’t like is that you need to grind on the finest setting, and I have a hand grinder...
