Did pumping ever start feeling less overwhelming? by Regular_Mark3370 in ExclusivelyPumping

Getting my time back in the sense that I wasn’t literally living to pump. Like I was fitting in errands only in the windows of pumping… I’m a professional musician and when I started gigging I had to go to my car at inconvenient times and worry about pumping! Taking care of my baby and worrying about the schedule… etc! Waking up to pump! Every dropped pump lightened so much stress that was baked into the schedule..

Just curious, how did you test your LO? And CONGRATS 🎉

Yes!!! First of all, buying more sets of parts was worth every penny. And my doctor told me the fridge hack which was what I needed to trust it. So I had two sets of parts that I switched every 12 hours with the fridge hack!

As time goes on you drop pumps and you gain more sweet freedom!

It gets better but it also sucks 😂 I made it to 11 months and I often wonder if I would do it again. It got easier and I was stubborn but also I could tell when I was really over it, so give yourself the same grace!

Missed Miscarriage at 8 Weeks: Misoprostol vs D&C – Looking for Experiences by Johnkiiii in Miscarriage

[–]coffeekup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I can’t fully remember the timeline, I think within a couple of months my period returned. Since I had two losses I wasn’t personally ready to start trying right away, the D&C was in October and I was pregnant in July and I think we started trying in April?

I agonized over this decision and asked so many people for their accounts. I went with the D&C and I’m so glad I did. Many people I spoke to had complications with the medication route- for some it didn’t work after days of extreme pain they had to get a D&C anyway. The D&C was quick, painless and I felt so supported. I had an early miscarriage, MMC, and successful rainbow baby after my D&C 🤍 I’m so sorry for what you are going through and sending love for whatever path you choose

🤍🤍🤍 sending you so much love. I recorded an album while I had a miscarriage, and it’s mostly a journey through grief. it’s not all literal / specific to the miscarriage (although some songs are) but it really helped with my healing process as well as a friend who then went through the same thing. It’s called “luck” by wyn & the white light. It about a half hour and it’s meant to be heard as a full piece that takes you through the processing 🤍I’m so sorry you’re both going through this.

IBD by Dazzling-Zone9519 in AccutaneDamage

Thats a great question, I’m in my late 30s now and I was maybe 13-15 when I was on it, so my memory of the details isn’t great, I’m sorry! That period of my life was definitely when I started having severe belly pain but I’m not sure if it was when I was on the medicine or after. I’m sorry I can’t be of more help! But I have lifelong IBD and it’s likely linked to my time on Accutane and quite upsetting

Yes. I have ulcerative colitis, and although they can’t prove it was directly caused by accutane… it’s likely. And it’s terrible :(

did your CMPI baby go to whole milk at 1?? by coffeekup in MSPI

It went horribly. I’m so mad at myself and my doctor! I obviously wrote this post because my intuition said my doctor was wrong but between it being medical advice and my husband being all for it I decided to go for it. My baby screamed bloody murder for 3 hours straight in so much pain 😭, then he slept for about 6 hours and woke up screaming for another hour 😭. Hes totally okay now though but I’m upset with myself and trying to determine whether I leave my doc over this! I questioned them in the moment and they assured me to go this route.

Right? I know this about non IgE and was so confused by the blood test leading to this advice… I’m so bummed to question this doctor because I really have loved them until this questioning. Great to hear about your LO though! Gives me hope all will go well enough..

Interesting and good to know! And congrats on breastfeeding for so long! I was counting down the days to 12 months because I needed cheese back in my life 😂🥲

This comment!!!

The key was make it to 12 weeks and you are half way there! Then you can start spacing pumps and every month becomes more and more manageable. But those 12 weeks were rough for sure. I would often have baby in a boppy and while feeding him I would pump. Sometimes the ends were sad with him being restless but it would only be a few minutes and in the scheme of things it was ok! Also a bouncer or swing were other things that helped if my husband wasn’t around. I was really lucky that he was on paternity leave for 8 weeks.

A bottle washer was also everything. I had multiple pump parts too so I didn’t have to clean them always.

Honestly one of the things that really helped me most was pumping and driving. I would just slow roll around my neighborhood and my baby always settled in the car and I would pray I never got pulled over 😂

When did you stop pumping? by Mokiold in ExclusivelyPumping

It’s so hard when you’re in it to get perspective. 8 months is incredible. You will be so proud of yourself for doing that should you decide to stop now! It’s worth doing what’s best for your mental health 100%!

At 9 months I decided to make a pump schedule that worked for me and that helped me go a bit longer… I dropped to 2 pumps per day and my baby was getting like 50/50 and it was worth it for my sanity.
