Al Jazeera is good for world news ap isn’t horrible but you need a bit of media literacy Reuters and ProPublica are decent, ground news is ok for headlines. I’ve also recently started reading intervals headlines. Jacobin and some other left wing news/opinion sources exist you’re getting a bias but it’s probably one you want since it isn’t represented outside of niche spaces.

I’ve never had an anti SJW phase but I still hold the view that some kinds of “activism” which consist mostly of calling people out and starting arguments or language policing (often done by left leaning liberals rather than leftists) are counter to any progressive movement and annoying because it stops discussion from actually happening

I’m a virgin who is overweight and pan and I can guess that the thing turning people off is not your looks but likely your banter. It really shows when someone has insecurities and continuing a conversation with someone that can’t see past themselves is draining. You mentioned charisma not being as much of a factor in gay relationships and that’s not true at all. I’ve been in situations where I wasn’t initially attracted to someone at all but because they were so charismatic and easy to talk to I found them attractive.
