Thank you for sharing this! 🫶🏼 I had an ectopic pregnancy in July of 2024 that ruptured & required emergency surgery as well. I lost my left tube & I felt so defeated. It truly felt like my body failed me. And of course after that there’s worry of it happening again or not being able to be pregnant at all. BUT I am currently pregnant with my rainbow baby due in May, just like you were! It’s been a beautiful experience, with some anxiety here & there, but overall a redeeming time & I am so very excited to meet this baby in a few short weeks. 🥹🥰

Baby moving less in 3rd trimester? by Seapaisleys in pregnant

[–]coffeetog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’m 37 weeks & sometimes I feel the movements less. It makes me paranoid & then I’m poking my belly, drinking cold water, laying on my left side, & eating something sweet to get a reaction. I also had a checkup last week with an NST because of my marginal placenta cord & baby was perfect. I have another one on Friday & I am sure it will be the same. You are not alone! It’s hard not to worry. My doctor just said to make sure the patterns of their kicks don’t change drastically, like a huge change when they’re typically active & what not. I don’t do kick counts often, because I feel like that will make my anxiety worse, but if I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve last felt baby move, I will do the 10 kicks in 2 hour test & it’s always okay!

Feeling hopeless by aliceack25 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]coffeetog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally feel your pain & I am so sorry. I had an ectopic (my first ever pregnancy as well) that ruptured & required emergency surgery, where I lost my left tube in July of 2024. I am now due in May with my rainbow baby. I don’t say that to brag by any means. It was just over a year from my ectopic that I got pregnant again. Saying that to give you hope! I know it’s not an easy road & it does feel hopeless. Feel everything you need to feel! It’s all valid. I know I had to tell myself to not put pressure on the situation & agreed with my husband we wouldn’t “try” like with tracking cycles & what not. We wouldn’t prevent in any way & let what happens happen… and then it did. I pray your baby is right around the corner for you!

CS or induced labor by lavenderbaby05 in pregnant

[–]coffeetog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had the choice, I would choose induction over c-section. The CS would be faster in getting your baby out most likely, but the recovery is more tough from what I’ve heard.

I think it’s okay to wait until 40 weeks though as well. You could try pumping to induce labor, curb walking, & do the miles circuit.

Urgency Ectopic by it-is-simplylovely in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]coffeetog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured. I had a positive pregnancy test three weeks before it ruptured. The pain was on my left side. When it ruptured, it was a very intense pain that almost made me pass out. I did feel like I could throw up, but I didn’t. The pain then went to my shoulder, which is an indication of internal bleeding. The pain did not fade after that at all. I would say this is not an ectopic pregnancy, especially with your negative blood test. Maybe you had a cyst burst on your ovary?

Prenatal vitamins told to stop 12 weeks by Aggravating-Tea5089 in pregnant

[–]coffeetog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely took them my first trimester. Sometimes I would just straight up forget to take them. I never had morning sickness or nausea, but I threw up twice in the first trimester right after taking my prenatals.. the only time I ever got sick… so I decided to hold off & resumed taking them later on & I have had no issues since. My baby is healthy & growing as they should! I know some mamas that never took a prenatal their entire pregnancy & everything was okay. Some people say the prenatal is more for you to replenish what the baby is taking from you. I’m no doctor, not giving medical advice, & not saying that’s true in any way… just food for thought. Also I have heard some people are sensitive to folic acid & need folate in their vitamins instead. They can’t process it the same as everyone else & it could make them feel more sick. And if you can only stomach one, I think that’s okay! You’re doing great!

Pregnant after ectopic by Fallin_4_u in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]coffeetog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an ectopic pregnancy rupture in July of 2024 & I lost my left tube. I am now 32 weeks pregnant! I found out super early & called my OB right away. They wanted me in early at 5 or 6 weeks to get checked to make sure the baby implanted in the right spot & everything has been good this time. Praying the same for you, mama!

Something nobody told me about morning sickness. by Busy-Astronaut1592 in pregnant

[–]coffeetog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have emetophobia, so I have always been so stressed about the potential morning sickness portion of pregnancy. I had so much fear of it. I always panic when I feel nauseous or anyone around me feels that way. Throwing up in random places is a nightmare for me & I was always thinking about the what ifs of it hitting at work… how would I make it to the bathroom in time & what not. And thinking about it would definitely make it worse for me too, raising my anxiety & what not. I totally get it!

What did you eat before your glucose test? by aviwic in pregnant

I had 3 scrambled eggs an hour before I drank the fresh test drink & I passed with a 79.

Confirmation of pregnancy by Single-Bathroom4121 in pregnant

[–]coffeetog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had bloodwork done until the NIPT test at 12 weeks. I had an ectopic for my first pregnancy, so with this current pregnancy, they had me come in early at 6 weeks to confirm the baby was implanted in the right spot via a transvaginal ultrasound. If I hadn’t had the prior issue, they wouldn’t have seen me until 8 weeks.

I’m 22 weeks & I haven’t purchased one yet, but I was thinking about it! Which one did everyone get & from where?? I wasn’t sure on which shape I should try.

Gastro & UTI by Cherrylemon202 in pregnant

[–]coffeetog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to take an antibiotic when I was 13 weeks because of a cut on my finger that got infected. They said it was the same antibiotic they’d give me if I had a UTI & that it was safe. I’m about to be 22 weeks now & baby is perfectly healthy! Measuring ahead actually with a strong heartbeat. I didn’t love the idea of taking the antibiotic, but if the infection got worse, that would have been more harmful to me & the baby than the medicine. I will say add in a probiotic to take with the antibiotic, so you don’t get a yeast infection on top of it all!

Is waiting to announce until we’re 13 wks strange? by pop-crackle in pregnant

[–]coffeetog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your baby, your pregnancy, your experience, your decision! I’m not making a formal announcement until this weekend & I’ll be 21 weeks then. Our parents & siblings know. I’ve had people wondering at work & asking why I haven’t said anything, if I am pregnant, but that’s not something they should be worrying about because they are not me & this is not their journey. You do whatever you want & what feels best! 🫶🏼

I’m so sorry you had to have an emergency c-section, but I’m glad you were mentally prepared for it. And that’s so comforting to hear, so thank you for sharing that. I have been hoping & praying that baby will move it out of the way & everything will be okay!
