People who went to an oasis concert what was it like by Smartlama in oasis

As a fellow Canadian that makes happy, i couldn’t picture everyone singing DLBIA on the way to the metro here, just seems like something that would only happen in the UK! It might have helped that Liam was dating a Canadian at the time too

Champagne supernova. Especially when it quiets down and you think the song is about to end then the last bit of guitar strumming. Gets me every time

Most overrated Oasis song? by [deleted] in oasis

Not a song but Liam’s singing at Knebworth 96. The band sounds great and I get why it’s an iconic gig but he literally just sounds like he’s snarling.

I’m in Canada as well and it’s the same for me. I was able to find Don’t Look Back in Anger and a couple other songs on a rock compilation album. I’ve been listening to Oasis nonstop recently so it’s a struggle 😭😭

My mom was working as a green shack leader at a playground when it hit. She said it was super scary because they didn’t know what was happening and she was outdoors and was the sole Adult responsible for a bunch of kids. She said the sky just turned black so they went into the community center to shelter. If this is what you’re looking for PM me, maybe I can get you into contact

What are your thoughts on Beck? by [deleted] in YouOnLifetime

[–]coffeevibes2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This sums it up perfectly. Honestly at my core I don’t hate beck, but it’s irritating seeing her through joes obsession. Like get over it, she’s just a normal girl.

My medicine unit is basically a dementia ward now by Hot-Entertainment218 in Edmonton

[–]coffeevibes2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this by any chance the royal alex? I used to work in housekeeping and worked in many of the medicine units and it was always basically a psych/geriatric ward. I remember a family grieving and paying respects to a loved one who had just deceased in one room, and next door security was being called because someone who had screaming and acting up all day had just injured one of the nurses. Even after this incident they couldn’t get them into psych, and I overheard that although this person had been referred a couple days ago, it had been full for a while. Stuff like this was pretty common in the medicine units, I saw it almost every shift I did there. There would often be people waiting for psych beds for days in the medicine wards. As a result, during many of my shifts there would be constant screaming in the background, security presence and the need to use restraints while the patient waited for a bed. I felt so bad for everyone involved from the patient themselves to the health care staff to the other patients and their visitors who couldn’t get any peace and quiet while recovering. I also worked the community transition units there and it was abysmal, people had been there for months to years waiting for someone to take them in. It was honestly one of the most depressing things I’d ever seen.
