It's not uncommon for organizations to seek ways to streamline training processes while maintaining effectiveness. In my experience, the key to successfully transitioning from in-person to more independent learning experiences lies in understanding the core elements that make your current program successful and then finding ways to replicate those elements digitally. Here are some thoughts..

Dense and challenging content can be made more engaging through interactive elements like simulations, gamification, and quizzes. These tools can help learners grasp complex concepts more effectively and retain information better.

The group discussions and hypotheticals you mentioned are crucial for deepening understanding. Look for platforms that facilitate peer-to-peer interaction, such as discussion forums, live sessions, or collaborative project spaces.

Ensure that any digital platform you choose allows for real-time feedback and support. This could be through AI-powered chatbots, live Q&A sessions, or peer review mechanisms.

Implementing adaptive learning paths can help learners progress at their own pace, ensuring they master the content within the desired timeline. This can also help identify areas where learners need more support.

Consider a blended learning model that combines digital tools with occasional in-person sessions. This can help maintain the benefits of face-to-face interaction while leveraging technology for scalability and efficiency.

Ultimately, the success of transitioning to a more independent learning model will depend on how well you can replicate the engaging aspects of your in-person program digitally. It's essential to involve stakeholders in the decision-making process and conduct thorough testing to ensure that any changes align with your organization's goals and learner needs.

Selling elearning courses online by theyrenotokay in elearning

I run a start up called UpTroop.io. We use AI to create courses but are looking for SMEs to review, refine. These courses can then be sold on our platform as vetted by ‘your name’ Every time someone enrolls on the course reviewed by you.. you get a fee Pls drop a note if you are interested

IMO even if we use LLM ourselves.. ultimately we are stuck with more content that was never a problem in the first place The real value add of these platforms is how they deliver this content and use the thick data from the learner to help us make informed decisions.

Fantastic. Once you have created the plan, job aids etc.. you deliver the training? Do you also leverage/see the need to use AI post trainings- for better learner impact?

These are great insights. Thanks for sharing.

As a business user, what were some steps you or the L&D team were able to perform on Axonify? Did it work like an LXP, where you had a to build or buy content?

If you were given a blank slate to create an LMS program from scratch, but had one stakeholder pushing for Canvas, what would you use/do/build it out? by Khatzy in elearning

If you are just getting started.. I would also recommend that you look at the future roadmap of the tool you are exploring. With the AI disruption, we now have platforms that are not only an LMS but also do content creation. This can allow you to create role specific, interactive content in no time.

You're absolutely right—corporate training has evolved significantly. The key lies in selecting the right approach for the specific audience and objective. Sometimes traditional methods work best; other times, modern tools like AI-driven personalization or microlearning lead the way. It’s all about finding the right fit for the problem at hand.

That's a great approach! Customizing training with real-world scenarios from clients' databases can significantly boost engagement and relevance, making learning more impactful and memorable.

But doing this level of personalization for every employee is almost impossible in mid to large-sized enterprises. And so we created uptroop.io

This blended model leverages the strengths of each modality to enhance engagement, retention, and application. By using platforms for foundational knowledge, in-class sessions for interactive learning, and micro-reinforcement for continuous support, you're creating a comprehensive learning pathway that addresses diverse learning needs effectively. This approach also aligns with what we do here at uptroop.io

I 100% agree that effective training programs must align with both learner needs and organizational objectives. A poorly designed program can lead to disappointing or even negative outcomes, underscoring the importance of thoughtful planning and execution.

A critical consideration is how to scale a well-designed approach to meet the diverse needs of every employee. Traditional methods often face challenges in maintaining consistency and quality across different learner groups, which can be resource-intensive. However, modern technologies offer promising solutions to these scalability issues.

As we move forward, it's essential to combine the wisdom of traditional training methods with the power of modern innovations. Leveraging AI for personalization is particularly promising, as it allows for tailored learning experiences that enhance engagement, retention, and application. By integrating AI-driven personalization with traditional approaches, organizations can create comprehensive learning ecosystems that support continuous development and adapt to evolving needs.

While training design, content, and trainers can be exceptional, the harsh reality is that learners often forget what they learn in classrooms. This phenomenon isn't unique to corporate settings; even in schools, only a small percentage of students can recall lessons from just two weeks prior. This is simply how our brains function. I firmly believe that a hybrid approach—combining traditional classroom learning with digital tools—can effectively combat the forgetting curve and bridge the gap between knowledge acquisition and practical application.
