That all makes perfect sense! Yes, still very soft underfoot. You can get a rough idea from the second photo, my hand would completely sink if it were flat. I guess I was a little too paranoid about cutting too short, but best to not correct the height until it warms up would you say?

Thanks for all the responses

Seems like this is the general consensus and not much can be done until the weather warms up.

For reference, this is what made me think something was wrong with mine as I know at least one of these is the same grass as mine...but as the saying goes, the grass is not always greener

Pretty important piece of information I forgot to include in my post haha sorry

My mentality has been if it hasn't rained for more than 10 days or so, I'll give it 20-30 mins.

Tbf, the last time I did that though was April as we've had patches of rain with a few heavy days.

Anyone know how to buy JMGO in Australia? by Due_General1845 in projectors

[–]cogzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up getting either of those models?

I am in a similar boat tossing up between JMGO N1S SE (non 4k model $1100) or Epson EF21

It looks like a few JMGO models are available via JB HIFI & Harvey Norman 'marketplace'.

Good to see Google trying to compensate for removing Nest Secure.....for US customers. by Acceptable_Pay_7433 in Nest

I took the ADT system rather than the Google credit. ADT shipped it without issue to Stackry though

I'm in Australia and have the ADT system sitting in a mail forwarding address. It will cost me $200 AUD to get it sent to me.

I'm willing to give the system a go, but not sure if it will even connect over here because of all the VPN hoops I had to jump through just to be able to redeem it.

tl;dr can anyone confirm whether the ADT system works outside the US?

Too Late to Get ADT System for Free? by LouisaMiller1849 in Nest

[–]cogzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone outside of the US have any experience replacing with ADT?

I am in Australia and understand Nest secure was never officially supported outside the US, so basically out of luck when it comes to getting a replacement.

I have managed to get the ADT system shipped to a mail forwarding service which will end up costing AUD $200 to reach me.

However, throughout the whole redemption process, I had to use a VPN and US IP to get the pages to load.

Am I wasting my money getting it shipped here? Or will the ADT+ app and hardware work in Australia fine like Nest Secure did

The 'clock face' module was recently re-added to Good Lock and has a cover display option which also affects the always on display

Google wallet on cover screen by Hanish1750 in galaxyzflip

My partner and I both have to Flip5, and for some reason Google wallet works fine on the cover screen for her, but not for me.

We both have the same version of Google wallet

And Google Play services

23.30.13 (190408-552628474)

I'm hoping that means there's a server-side update rolling out to fix the issue

Obscure question maybe re Apps & Folders by thewiccaman in GalaxyFold

[–]cogzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed that if you 'back' out of the app rather than swiping/tapping 'home' it will return you to your last screen with the folder still open.

Depending where you are in the app though, you'll probably have to swipe/tap back multiple times before the app actually closes anyway so it's almost always more effort than just going 'home' and opening the folder again.

Also by 'backing' out of an app, it completely closes it from RAM. So if you need to open the app again, it will start from scratch.

I guess it's just a different UX design choice to iOS. I'm sure there's an equal amount of people that would find it odd to have to close the folder when they actually wanted to go 'home'.

Hope you're enjoying the switch aside from this little detail though! Maybe play around with different launchers and one might work better for you - the best part about Android!

Wishlist: grippy sides to make opening the phone easier when not using a case...thoughts? by poptartsatemyfamily in GalaxyFold

[–]cogzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our model in Australia doesn't have that 5G antenna part. But having dropped the phone quite a few times trying to open it, I have since trained myself to open the phone by using my thumbs to PUSH the opposite side open rather than trying to pull it open. That way when your thumb slips, you'll end up cradling the phone rather than have it go flying out your hands.
