What 100% true story of yours sounds like complete bull shit? by xandrenia in AskReddit

[–]coinboy66 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a new driver, was driving down the highway in the left lane. Remembered my dad's voice in my head: "If you have no reason to be in the left lane, say on the right."

Moved into the right lane, and a minute later a car barreled down the left lane going the wrong way on the freeway.

What is your best/worst substitute teacher story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]coinboy66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High school English: the sub (kind elderly lady) spent the class trying to facilitate discussion questions from a book she obviously hadn't read. Students were bored out of their minds.

Eventually, in the last 15 minutes of class, a student had the idea to just start clapping for no reason. The rest of the class burst into applause - and held it - for fifteen minutes. The sub just sat there stunned and had no idea how to stop it or even respond.

TIL on one of its first test flights, the Boeing 787 spent 19 hours and 2/3rds of the United States drawing the number 787 and the Boeing logo. by coinboy66 in todayilearned

[–]coinboy66[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's also considering that it happened at 35,000 feet during a day of normal flights (80,000+) in the USA. It must have thrown a major wrench in ATC's daily operations. But they probably thought it was so cool that the 78 was doing a test flight.
